That sounds like my house Grandma, plus DH's detritus (immense and extensively distributed) and cleaning up materials to deal with Georgiethepup's little accidents! It takes me hours to 'refresh' one room due to having to move so much stuff and then return it.

Oh the joy of a few magazines and a bit of dust. Looking round I have one corner heaped with assorted tubs of toys. Another has Tesco Frozen' and 'Bambi' bags full of dolls and My Little Ponies, large tub and rolling box full of Duplo, 'Frozen' palace, 'My Little Pony' stables, two tea sets, ponies, small animals and figures in old Roses and Celebrations boxes, spare nappies and changing stuff, doll's pram, cot and bath plus baby dolls and 'lovely' artwork stuck on walls with bluetac. My mantelpiece is full of trophies, artistic creations, loom band 'jewellery', hair bobbles and slides, a forgotten bottle of juice and DGD's words for her nativity play There is of course the snooker table, boxes of games, colouring, painting and drawing materials, washing on radiators, DGS's homework awaiting completion and I could go on and on even more!!!

Guess who has DGC living part time or visiting every week.

PS the floor is hoovered at least once a day for reasons of hygiene!!

I've got to admit I've a magazine rack full of old reading matter I might get round to one day - the pile actually towers a foot above the top of the rack, which is itself well over a foot high. Good job they've got a wall to lean against, or my cat could be in danger walking past.

The coffee table looks as if it's covered with old papers, but it's really just the many, many component parts of today's Guardian.

I am now going to go into the conservatory to chuck a few papers, catalogues etc around in there and ignore the dust

The only magazines I have are U3A and NWR ones. I need to get rid of recycle the oldest ones as my mag rack is overflowing.

The only magazines I've got are archaeology and history magazines, can they go out of date?

Who hasn't got an outdated magazine lying around? Or the latest House of Bath catalogue?

Diet?

Another thing they recommend in the article is replacing your cushions and throws. Trouble is, I get fond of my cushions, and if I do buy new ones they are just added to the ones already there. Leaving very little room to sit on the sofa.

I WAS going to do all that today, but remembered the young DGC will be here for hours tomorrow, so no point, then on Monday I shall be busy, ditto Tues Wed Thu Fri, so oh dear it will all have to wait for the next weekend ( when the DGC will be here again and.........)
