Christmas saving tips

Christmas is an expensive time of the year for all of us (although there do seem to be so many bargains about!) and I thought it might be nice for us to share any saving tips? Mine is to buy wrapping paper that isn't overtly seasonal - this year I've bought a few rolls of dotted red foil and the same in gold. That way if there's leftover I can use it for birthdays during the year too.

I put money away throughout the year for Christmas so December is not so expensive! I also save loads of time writing out cards - I have a rubber stamp with a Christmas greeting and our names on it, so I only handwrite who it's going to and address the envelope
