Hello. My wife and I used to post frequently, and join conversations, she the actual gran, I was the secretary. So I am a granpa. We had lots of good chat, advice, and occasionally put in our twopenn'orth. My wife, Gillie, died suddenly in February, my worst day ever imaginable. I've been thro' all the anger, despair, disbelief and so many other feelings, too numerous to mention. I unearthed a few really great friends since the event, folks lost in the mists of time, but each supportive in their way. I also am surrounded by a super family. I am gently treading the water, so you grans, forgive me for poking my nose in from time to time. As a pair, we found Gransnet to be entertaining, informative and sometimes, just good fun. So thanks for that. I return as a substitute gran. Take care.

So sorry to hear about Gillie flowers

Nose poking is perfectly acceptable behaviour on here - compulsory even smile It goes on a lot wink We don't even need to go on a course to learn how, it just comes naturally grin

Very sorry to hear such sad news, geelijay, welcome back.
Lurking and nosing around definitely routine on here, mostly as MiniMouse says grin, we're seasoned mistresses and masters too of such a vital skill!

Thank you for the nice thoughts. I remember most of you in previous conversations on here. We found you an endless source of advice. You were never stumped for advice, all of which was useful. I cannot think of any other font of knowledge, where someone had either done it, been there or had one. And laced with humour, too. Regards. x

Welcome back Geeljay. I hope you stay around. Lots of us lurk, some of us like to actively join in from time to time. So sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. Lots of people on here in a similar position.

I think it's wonderful that you came back to let people know. I often wonder what has happened to people, and if they are ill.
