I have found quite a few of the houses I have addresses of in my family history records!

I tried for the house I was born in in Frodsham, but I don't think it's there any more.

I Googled "Odd things on Streetview" and I liked the Stig standing alone next to Loch Ness and also the man riding a penny farthing with a penguin in a child's pull along behind him! The Americans are just plain weird though.

It's interesting to see my house several years ago - and the next door semi house NOT covered with brambles and ivy.

downtoearth, or Nellie as you were when we corresponded before (I think!!), yes, we love Wells, we`ve been many times for a ride out, but never stayed there before. With not having the car, we were a bit limited, so a week was a bit too long really, but would still like to go back again for a few days stay, and stay in the lovely B & B again.

You must mean the Abatross downtoearth, we didn`t go on there, as we went on a similar boat in the harbour at Tarbert, Loch Fyne, and it cost us £9 for 2 small cakes and 2 cups of tea! Our own fault for not checking prices first. I was amazed at how many children there were "crabbing" around the harbour, also at how many they caught, there must be an awful lot of crabs in Wells harbour. Troiuble is, Google street view doesn`t go close up in the harbour area.

That's the name number I couldn't remember it,it is quite pricey which is why we sit and eat chips in the harbour,,but it sounds such good fun when they have the live entertainment,especially as the sun goes down and the lights all come on,sound and smell of the water and people laughing and having fun.
We tried crabbing with resident teenager a few years back,but she got bored as she didn't catch anything,in fact the only crabby thing that day was E

I love street view.
Before visiting ds 6,000 miles away I was able to 'walk the streets' around his house. Now I can go on and revisit, as mentioned by pp.

I love it too. It has been recently updated here and our house has changed a lot.

We are looking to move and I was checking out a house only to see an ambulance and paramedic outside, perhaps that's why it's for sale!
