What are you looking forward to most this year?

I'll be taking part in the KUGB (Karate Union of Great Britain) residential summer school in Lancaster this coming August. This will be my 19th consecutive year. A whole week of karate training - excellent!

Do you have a dog?

No, -an RSPCA rescue cat called, Lily. She loves bringing home daily offerings of dead birds and even rabbits! Can be quite gruesome!

Havr you seen the film 'About Time'? (A swift entry in my top ten list - available on Netflix )

have you booked any holiday for 2016 yet

Yes we're off to Spain at the end of the month then again in May and November with a visit to Holland in April.

Do you prefer the UK or abroad for holidays?

Im beginning to think UK now. So many lovely regions and I'm less bothered about sun these days. And hate airports. And flying.

What's your favourite area of the UK apart from where you live ?

North Wales. I lived there for a few years and just loved the scenery both mountains and the sea.

Do you prefer sweet or savoury?

I love sweet. Particularly lemon marshmallow slice. YUM!!

What's your favourite movie?

Some Like It Hot.

Do you give to the Big Issue Sellers money ?

That's a tricky one. I'd like to help someone who's homeless but I really don't want the Big Issue and would throw it away unread. I'd just as soon put money in a collecting tin and refuse the magazine but that might be patronising? Anyway, no I don't!

Do you have a hobby?

Just gardening, walking and exercise classes, plus occasional sewing and knitting.

Are your finger nails shaped and manicured or kept short like mine?

Manicured short

Traditional Sunday lunch, or, like me ,whatever you fancy ?

Roll with a boiled or poached egg and sometimes bacon.

Do you give, or have you given, blood?

I used to give blood and got my silver award but a phase of anaemia a couple of years ago made me stop and I haven't got back to it yet.

Which is your favourite season and why?

Spring although seasons seem to run into each other now,

Do you like clocks going backwards/forwards or do wish they just stayed same all year

I love the extra hour when they go back. Pity about the other one!

Do you dry washing on radiators (like me #common as muck)

Not common, it's a necessity. Yes, I do.

What is your usual time to get up ?
(typing this in bed)

I get up between 6.00 and 6.30 make a cuppa come back to bed trying to avoid disturbing DH, then go on the Ipad and read till about 8.00.

What's your earliest memory ?

I remember being locked in toilet in nursery ( I went from when I was a baby my mum had to work ) one of the staff let me out

Did you enjoy your school years or was you glad to leave

I really enjoyed it and was sad to leave

Are you watching the German Cold War drama on ITV ?

No. I have not even heard about it.

Do you remember learning to read?

I remember reading Janet & John books to the teacher, I don't remember reading to mum or dad.
Did you ride a push bike when younger? Or maybe you still do

I learned to ride on a friend's bike but never owned one till my 40th birthday. I loved it but rode it to death! (It lasted 18 years!)

Do you have any exercise equipment in your home? And do you use it?

No, none at home

What is your usual bedtime ?

In between 2am and 4am. I start coming to life around 10pm and have been a night owl since I was a little girl.

What do you eat for breakfast?
