Am I really being unreasonable? Am I obsessive? I sorted a load of pale washing and asked H to put it in the machine on 40 degrees. When it was finished it had two garments with black and grey stripes which have not been washed before.I was puzzled and a little irritated! Result...."I can't ever do anything right "etc etc major tantrum from H.Does everyone else just chuck in all colours together?

Ana. It's ok, I knew it was. I was going to mention my doilies but I thought that was a step too far. Ha ha.

I have never been allowed to forget the time I put my husband's white football shorts in with something red. They were a delightful pink shade, which he flatly refused to wear can't think why. That was a long while ago of course, football playing days over, but I can still see the look on his face when I told him they were o.k.

Petra I can send you a bag of doilies (how does one spell that word that isn't knitted?). My late mother had them under every numerous ornament on every available surface and I inherited them. Free to a good home grin

And I have inherited dozens too, please accept them with my compliments. I also have white cotton tablecloths which have been beautifully embroidered by both my Nan and Mil. They stay in a drawer as they terrify me! grin

Put those doilies out of their misery. It's not right. How would you like to spend your life buried at the bottom of a drawer.

My DH doesn't do washing either when he returns from visit to my MIl he just tells me 'I've left mothers laundry on Top washing machine''. Last week two year old DGS had 'popped in one of his croc sandals in to tumble dryer. When DD removed the dry washing , out popped a tiny croc that would fit his baby brother grin. I'm all guilty of tissues. If you've got tumble dryer a quick whizz round usually does the trick. Not long ago just before DH was going away for a few days I quickly picked up pair jeans off the bedroom Floor (not hung up grrr) + chucked them in the wash in case needed them. When took them out spotted bulging back pocket HIS WALLET! Spent afternoon drying notes as had been ATM for cash for trip. Needless to say I wasn't the Flavour of the month!

My DH has a bright yellow sports shirt which he always puts in with the dark washing, despite my efforts to train him. Why?

I had a 'tissue issue' today. A pair of denim crops and a pair of grey trousers were covered in shreds of tissue. I shook them out at the back door and subsequently had to vacuum the doorsteps. And I don't even have an OH to blame.
