Printmiss ((((hugs)))) for you. However dreadful it was to see your son so distressed it had to be done.
Bonnie Blue the MSM should stop all reporting.
Any experience with Othello syndrome
Our lovely son was taken into hospital on Friday - he was bleeding both ends. He was absolutely terrified! He refused point blank to go in the ambulance, and the staff where he lives were trying to persuade him. One of them telephoned me in the hope I could help, but when I arrived he was in a terrible state, and past reasoning with. His blood pressure was on the floor and there was a very real likely hood that he would die. It was impossible to give him a sedative because his heart rate was fluctuating. Everything was done to try to get him into the ambulance, his social worker was called, and in the end the police, because be is a vulnerable person who was being difficult and needed special care. In the end they managed to get him out of the house, then eventually on to the trolley where they had to strap him down and then hand-cuff him. I am devastated that my beautiful happy son had to be treated like this, but I know it was necessary, and to be quite honest, the policemen and social worker were visibly upset. I keep seeing Robert lying on that trolley struggling against the straps and getting more and more upset. My husband is trying to be sensible about it, but is equally upset, fortunately I have a great daughter and son-in-law, and the staff who care for Robert treat us like their family - they too were really totally at a loss as to what to do. The staff at the hospital were beyond reproach, Robert had finally settled when he got there, but was still being difficult. Yesterday he was very sedated, they are keeping him that way for the moment, he is just frightened by all that is happening. I know I should not think like this, but I keep seeing our lovely son, who would not hurt a fly, being treated like a criminal with the hand cuffs and strapping, and although I know that it was for the best, I cannot help but feel that he feels like that too. Oh!, I am so upset that this happened to him, and now there is nothing I can do but sit beside him and hold his hand. I thought I would feel better writing it all down, but the tears are streaming down my face, and I really do not want my other half to see this, as it upsets him even more. I realise our son might die, but I hate what has happened, and that he might die hating us all for the way he has been treated.

I hope there has been some improvement for Robert today printmiss
We visited Robert this afternoon, and he is so much better - thank you everyone - when I say so much better, he has more colour and is not clammy. He slept the whole of the time we were there, just woke for a short while to listen to me talk, and then drifted off again, he seems more settled. Tomorrow they are going to decide what to do, there has been no more bleeding, but then again, everything was empty and he has had nothing to eat for two days, so I am not sure if they will take that into consideration. His blood pressure is back to normal and the heart-rate steady. What I do not want is for him to be sent home, and then have to return to hospital for treatment, because I think that would be difficult. We can only wait and see, and I am so grateful for all the kind thoughts, the lovely staff at the hospital, and most of all the people who look after Robert where he lives - we are surrounded by the best of people. Thank you.
What a relief for you PRINtMISS that things are improving however slightly. I hope you can sleep more easily tonight knowing that Robert ( my own son's name) is in good hands and that treatment is ongoing. It must be so difficult when one's child is so dependent on you and others for their well being. We who don't have this must be thankful though I expect we take it for granted.
So pleased to see you write more positively and certainly with a happier story today.

Printmiss That is good to hear. I hope he keeps improving.
I just logged on, what a terrible ordeal Printmiss. Glad to see things are looking a lot more positive for your son and he has you with him.
Thank you for letting us know that Robert's a bit better today, PRINTMISS. Tomorrow will bring more definite news for you all. Good, positive news that his BP is back to normal and that his heart rate steady. Take care of yourself.
Glad that he is a bit better now, and hope that they will be able to sort out what is going on as quickly as possible.

I have only just seen this, PRINTMISS. What an absolute nightmare you have been through. It must be somewhat of a relief that Robert is doing better, but can understand how concerned you must be for his health. Do hope today brings better news, my thoughts are with you
,thoughts are with you all, hopefully Robert will continue to improve and have little recollection of his ordeal x
I've only just read this Printmiss. What a shame this had to happen. Good news that he is more settled.
How is your son doing?
Hoping his imrovement has continued.
As you say, it's heartening to know he has so many caring people around him.
I`ve only just seen this Printmiss, my thoughts are with you and yours, and hoping for a happy outcome to your, and Robert`s, ordeal.
Hoping for an improvement for you and Robert today ....xx
Thank you all so much for your kindness and understanding. Robert had improved again yesterday, but they are still not sure what is/was wrong with him, and thinking along the lines of a stomach ulcer. We saw the doctor who assured us that they would not send Robert home until they were certain things were under control. They do not want to do too much investigation as he gets very distressed, although he is much calmer now, and the nurses very patient - one of them said yesterday - "He is so lovely he is always smiling," which is true (but not on Friday!). He had some food yesterday the first time on two days, and they are waiting to see if that causes any more bleeding. Oxygen levels keep dropping but quickly pick up again. Today will see the physiotherapist getting Robert out of bed - they had to ask us if he could walk on his own - something we take for granted, and yet of course they could not really ask him, and know for certain he understood - which of course he does, but they do not know that. Difficult for everyone, but their patience is fantastic. Thank you all again, will let you know how things progress.
What a relief to you to know he is improving and that he is in a safe place where the care is so good and understanding. I hope things get better daily and he is soon well again and 'home'.
Good to hear that he is improving PRINTMISS, you must feel relieved. I hope they can get the problem sorted without upsetting him.
So glad to hear that Robert is still improving and that he is receiving such excellent care. We will all be thinking of you.
Good to hear that things are progressing satisfactorily, I hope that Robert continues to improve and get better.
fingers crossed that he has no recurrence and that he is able to smile once morexxxx
It does sound like a stomach ulcer. Could be a result of medication that he's on, perhaps? A friend of mine was very ill with an ulcer that was caused bytaking ibuprofen without omeprazole
. Pleased to hear that he's a lot better, though.
Just an up-date to say that Robert is back in his own bed now. He has been through so much these past few days, most of which he finds difficult to understand, and the staff have been really kind. Hopefully he had a good night's rest and will soon be back to his old happy self. I find it hard to see him so subdued and bewildered. Thank you all once again.
