DBH brings me a huge mug of tea at 7.30 - he gets up at 5.30 to do his marking. He leaves at 7.45, I have usually drunk my tea by 8 and slowly wake up. I creak my way out of bed, and go downstairs to make a strong coffee. depending on what I am doing that day, I either go back up with it and get washed and dressed, or back to bed for an hour and read emails, facebook messages from DCs etc., look at Kindle offers, have a look at eBay to see what I am meant to be watching that day, check the calendar to make sure I am not meant to be somewhere, then sort out all washing to be done and have a quick clean of the bathroom, go downstairs and make my boiled eggs and yet more coffee. Have a look at any songs I may have to learn, do housework/cooking/shopping/paperwork.
If I can and the weather permits, I garden in the afternoons. I pop on here when I am having a coffee or teabreak, or lunch. Again when I get back from going out to whatever. It's calming. I know some people may not think that gransnet is calming at times, but if you have songs or knitting patterns or things villagers want you to do whirring around in your head, it really is. And I watch very little TV.
