Hi Kitcheners, no subtle hints this time, Bogoff is dead. Why oh why did I choose such an awful name, it was intended as a noun, but came across as a verb. Sorry.

hildaj been there more than once! Demolished the last loaf smacking it against the work surface trying to dislodge it, not much useable bread left by the time I finished (but plenty of breadcrumbs )

Goodness I find it hard enough to cope with remembering names, let alone changed names and changed back again names. Will you just stay putt now please?? (But it does sound better, a bit like "les pompiers" in France)

BTW, Pompa is my name in real life, it has historically been the name of grandfathers for several generations in my family, certainly back to my great GF. I believe it is of Northern origin, I was born in Yorkshire.

soop. Strawberry plants turned in to 24 packs of geraniums from Aldi. £1.79 for 4 good strong plants. I stood there in a force 10 gale sorting out the strongest plants and colours, I think they thought I was bonkers. Paid for them and came out to bright sunshine but I had rain dripping from me nose and all down my back. Only another 150 hanging basket plants to go!

It's so windy here I struggle to keep them well watered, despite using gel etc.

Do you find the gel in hanging baskets works well? it's quite pricey but if it works...?

Have you seen the hanging planters with the pop out lattice bits. Each one takes 8 plants, even blocking some holes out. I have 12 of those (front and back gardens). 100 plants. Then I have various other wall p!anters and pots so probably more than 150 still to buy. I have osteoporosis , not complaining!, but it means I don't have plants in the garden at floor level, they are mostly shrubs. Cheers me up.

Wow that's a lot of planting POGS, I have a lot of tubs/planters/pots but only do about six hanging baskets. I will try the gel this year as the watering is a nuisance all the time.

Get a piece of down pipe, drill holes in several places and plant around the pipe. Water from the top and it permiates through the basket evenly watering.

I can't get on very well with gel.

Good Morning all.
After 52 years my wife does not yet know me. This mornings conversation.

DW - are we trying to cut down this week ?
ME - yes definitely no biscuits ?
DW - what if I get the ones you don't like ?

Apart from, why buy what you don't like, DOES she not yet know there is no such thing !!!!!! I despair.

Found the paddle in the bread. It hasn't left as big a hole as I thought it would. POGS, I didn't know how to post photos until just recently! I did a bit of Googling and discovered that it is really quite easy, have a go, you'll surprise yourself.

DD and babe spent the afternoon at the hospital yesterday as midwife was concerned about babe's jaundice and that DD might have abdominal hernia - both given clear bill of health - and it got DD up, dressed and out of the house!

All 7 GC will be around today!

That's great news Mishap. 7 GC, OMG I get knackered with 1, hope you have some energy pills to hand. but you will love it.

It's awful when they have babies, isn't it. DD was in and out of hospital for both, and I spent hours planning funerals and childcare in my head, with a big cheery smile on my face all the while. I'm glad they are both in the clear, both of mine and hers had jaundice and were placed in every speck of sunlight. It would be a bit hard to find any of that here today.

POGS It's the keeping them all watered that I have respect for, do you have a watering system?
