Hello and welcome...grin

Galen Mon 30-Mar-15 11:39:40

It was supposed to be the new Easter bunny one!
I've emailed GNHQ I think they need a strong word with tech.

Galen Mon 30-Mar-15 11:41:13

The It worked ok on the Good morning thread?

soop Mon 30-Mar-15 12:13:41

Bah! I don't much care for the Easter bunny wotsits. The Scottish tammy dude is very much to my liking...

annodomini Mon 30-Mar-15 12:30:44

Wish we could get off the subject of food! Says she who broke a tooth yesterday biting into a piece of frozen chocolate. Don't ask. blush

Galen Mon 30-Mar-15 12:56:02

[tbusgrin]

Galen Mon 30-Mar-15 12:56:30

tbugrin

Galen Mon 30-Mar-15 12:57:32

Ah! Worked that time.
The scots one must have been purely for Soop
tbusmile

soop Mon 30-Mar-15 13:23:13

...so...bring him back. He makes me smile.

anno hmm Is the broken tooth noticeable? It could have been much worse.

For all the Kitcheners who gave sound advice re MacSporran's well overdue hospital appointment - he received an email this morning. He will have notification of a date VERY soon. Ahhh! That's more like it.

Charleygirl Mon 30-Mar-15 13:58:19

soop that is more like it- we want to see action and MacSporran on the mend.

Galen Mon 30-Mar-15 14:49:48

GNHQ have no idea what happened but it seems to have gone tbusad

soop Mon 30-Mar-15 16:20:06

Thank you Charleygirl for your kind thoughts.

Galen I'm mortified. Not too much to ask... wink

Re McS's appt, a friend who has been having trouble with her eyes for a year now has been on antibiotics now for 3 months and was told she would be seen after the course. When she didn't hear anything she rang to be told that no appt had been requested but "to leave it with them" and she would get a callback. After 24 hours she rang again to be told by someone else she was booked in for two days hence. If she hadn't rung she would not have known. This is so bad, no wonder appts are missed. Please keep chasing soop.

nannieroz111 Mon 30-Mar-15 20:55:19

Yes do soop. I really despair for our NHS.

Soutra Mon 30-Mar-15 21:05:24

Oh, to go back a tad, I like the Easter bunnies! At least they didn't replace the roast chicken with Lapin a la Moutarde tbuhmm mind you, poor chicken . . . No Easter eggs from her tbusad

annsixty Mon 30-Mar-15 21:37:38

What was the film where the American oil man injured a rabbit only to have it served up for supper by the owner of the pub he was staying at? It was a favourite film at the time and I can't remember the titletbublush

Starling Mon 30-Mar-15 21:48:50

annsixty that film is Local Hero.

annsixty Mon 30-Mar-15 21:51:45

Thank you Starling I recalled it when you posted (too lazy to google)!!

Starling Mon 30-Mar-15 22:02:05

You're welcome - I loved that laconic line of dialogue: "We have an injured rabbit also" tbusmile

Nelliemoser Mon 30-Mar-15 22:07:35

Dougie Howser's name rang bells with me, but I don't have a clue who he was.

Just thought I`d let you know, hubby`s feeding tube has been removed today, he ate solid food, albeit not much, for the first time in 2 months! They say he might be going onto the ward tomorrow.
Terrible weather outside, a very cold wind, plus rain, not very springlike.

Nelliemoser Mon 30-Mar-15 22:09:47

I just looked it up, He was supposedly a child Doctor. I remember it now.

numberplease Mon 30-Mar-15 22:11:42

Sorry, should have added that his tracheotomy was removed yesterday, and he`s no longer connected to anything. The nurse who took over at 8pm squealed with delight when he said "Hello", she`d never heard his voice before!

Crafting Mon 30-Mar-15 22:15:58

How come it's always Galen who seems to find the men. First there was Mike the milkman - though what happened to him we may never know as he didn't make it back from the cruise tbuhmm Then Galen is the only one to find the wee highland chappie while the rest of us have to make do with bunnies. I think she's keeping him for herself Soop tbugrin

Crafting Mon 30-Mar-15 22:18:31

Number. Good news about your DH. Hope he continues to improve.

annodomini Mon 30-Mar-15 22:32:11

soop, the tooth isn't visible unless I grin widely and I'm not in the mood for that! Dentist's appointment at 8.30 in the morning. Yawn! At least I won't have to contend with the school run this week.
