Thank you, kitcheners! smile I had a lovely day exploring Stirling, then home to cake (banana, walnut and grated chocolate; I'll leave a couple of plates of it on the side here), champagne (sorry, BB and I seem to have drunk it all), and roses. Was in too much of a champagne haze to pop in here yesterday.

Happy St Andrews Day to all you lovely peoples. flowers

Have been for a stroll. Stopped umpteen times to blether. Have returned to enjoy a pot of freshly brewed coffee. As it was bags birthday and Agus's ruby wedding anniversary yesterday, I shall treat myself to a buttery Scottish shortbread biscuit. Aren't I a tinker boots. wink

soop Sun 30-Nov-14 11:52:06

Thank you Grannyknot I was most certainly fou after the Polish thanksgiving gathering.

dustyangel Sun 30-Nov-14 15:14:13

Happy St. Andrew's day to you soop and of course to everyone else as well.
We moved on Friday from the damp studio apartment to the larger cottage, hopefully for the last time. Maybe, just maybe it is the last time. The plans for the new house haven't been finalised yet so it might be a long wait. Meanwhile we are still traipsing backwards and forwards as one or other of us remembers an item of clothing or book or kitchen implement that is in the wrong house. DH's nephew is coming round soon to help move furniture around.

A belated Happy Birthday bags, sounds like you had a great day. flowers

And belated Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Agus. flowers
I'm sure you had a smoothly romantic evening. wink

I'm watching a certain something on eBay. Hence I'm back online. I've spotted just the thing for my three adult granddaughters. So, here goes...grin

Agus Sun 30-Nov-14 19:15:36

Thank you for your congrats Dusty and rosequartz smile

Good luck on eBay soop

annodomini Sun 30-Nov-14 19:25:31

Congrats to you Agus and your OH.
soop - what would we do without Ebay? I'd asked DS1 what DiL would like for Christmas and he came up with a link to a necklace on Ebay which, within seconds, I had secured for her. So that's their household sorted.

Agus Sun 30-Nov-14 19:53:25

Thank you anno. Good for you securing DiL's present, especially within seconds. My kind of shopping smile

soop Sun 30-Nov-14 20:00:08

And mine. Sorted in five minutes. Phew!

rosequartz Sun 30-Nov-14 20:23:54

Just had a glass (or two) of wine to celebrate St Andrew's Day despite not having a drop of Scottish blood myself - and just wishing all you Scottish Gnetters a happy day, and in memory of a Scottish friend who was very dear to me.

AlieOxon Sun 30-Nov-14 20:50:31

I will join you in that glass rose. Still discovering more on my Scottish ancestors.
(And Welsh, Irish and English, but up the
Scots!)

kittylester Mon 01-Dec-14 10:02:12

Good morning darling kitcheners. I believe that tomorrow is the day when ourGalen meets with our Bella. I'm feeling excited on their behalf.

It's a grey, still, peaceful day with which to begin a new week. Whatever you lot are doing...I send you virtual sunshine

Bellasnana Mon 01-Dec-14 13:39:17

Yes indeed, soop tomorrow is the big day. I'm excited too and hoping it won't rain. Today is hot but cloudy which often heralds a thunderstorm. I hope Galen has ordered some good weather grin
