How dreadfully sad Soutra - thinking of you and your family flowers

annsixty Tue 28-Oct-14 19:55:12

So sorry Soutra and all positive thoughts to them as they make their decision which will lead to much heartache whatever they decide, but it will be the right one for them. I do pray and will certainly include them tonight.

Crafting Tue 28-Oct-14 20:26:00

I think grannyknot has the right idea- craftingyou too have your problems,.lona , soop , kittylester and those I may not know about, ehat we need is a GROUP HUG oh and cupcake as well. Are we down hearted? Maybe but we can still smilesmile

Crafting Wed 29-Oct-14 07:23:53

What a good job the kitchen is big enough for us all to squash into. Group hug sounds a good idea to me too. Thanks to all for the kind thoughts. Yes Soutra let's have some cupcake thlsmile

Grannyknot Wed 29-Oct-14 07:40:27

...and the best thing about the kitchen is - no appointment necessary, all welcome at any time! grin Move up, there's always room for one more.

Grannyknot Wed 29-Oct-14 07:42:27

That should be "Move up, please" (must'nt let enthusiasm trump manners!) smile

Icyalittle Wed 29-Oct-14 07:50:21

Soutra love, prayers and tears for you all, particularly your DD. Whatever the decision, it is the right one. xx

Lona Wed 29-Oct-14 10:07:11

That group hug was lovely, just what we needed smile

I would like to make a small announcement........TaDaa!
Said in a whisper..... things are looking up chez Lona.

My dd has made life changing decisions after the most horrendous few years, and hopefully will be at least happier.

My ds, who is slowly losing his sight, now has an eyemask which he wears overnight, which should hopefully improve things. He has also cut all ties with his father, a psychopathic bully, at long last, which will improve his life in every area.

There's a lot more to it all obviously, but I'm feeling cautiously optimistic, and relieved.

Thanks to you all for your support and care flowers

harrigran Wed 29-Oct-14 10:51:28

Soutra flowers for you and your family.

Agus Wed 29-Oct-14 10:53:17

So pleased for you Lona that really is great news for you and your DC. All the best to both of them to go onwards and upwards to a more contented future.

You must be relieved too and hopefully you can relax now knowing that your stressful time has finally turned a corner. flowers

kittylester Wed 29-Oct-14 11:35:23

Nice to have good news Lona. Thank you for sharing it. flowers I hope things continue onwards and upwards for you all.

I hope soutra and family are ok today and I hope crafting's problem is easier. sunshine How are things with you Grannyknot? I feel as though I am in suspended animation at the moment and I have no idea what I should be doing or, even, what I used to do before DD arrived. It's a bit like the first days after a holiday but not feeling quite so rested!

annodomini Wed 29-Oct-14 11:36:16

Happy for you Lona. Your family are so lucky to have such a supportive mum. flowers

whenim64 Wed 29-Oct-14 12:02:57

Good to hear things are sounding more positive, Lona. flowers

Lona Wed 29-Oct-14 12:20:39

Thank you so much for your good wishes, now we just have to help Soutra and Crafting to get through their hard times, not forgetting Bella, soop and MacS and all others who are being tested flowers

On a lighter note, I'm sitting here, looking as though I've been dragged through a hedge backwards, after a two day sleepover with my littlest dgd!
How is it possible for a three year old to make a grown woman so exhausted? hmm

Great fun though smile

Grannyknot Wed 29-Oct-14 13:19:49

kitty suffice to say we have booked a short break on the Eurostar grin so in the next week or two I shall (hopefully) be sipping light beer "in Bruges" for a 3 day respite!

Jokes aside, it's not too bad, I think we are all finding little nooks to hide in - the cat under the bed, me in the kitchen (where else), daughter goes out to work and loves coming home to a cooked meal, her husband is glued to his PC, and mine is taking refuge in the garage. So far so good!
