Fancy writing a group limerick ?

I've just realised that limericks are in waltz time.

A lot of old Grannies were moaning

(except the 3rd and 4th lines?)

And many old Grandads were groaning,

So they all got together

They huffed and they puffed

(PapaOscar the "ing" at the end should not have been black. You are slipping!)

Neither should nies

And dressed in leather

And gave Gransnet a mass mobile phoning.

Point taken, EG, I hadn't got me teeth in!

(Try 'dressed up in leather'? for the scansion?

(Pretty good though)

(and remove the "and" from the last line)

(We better get it right before the end of the thread!)

One of the old Grans had a problem

Her teeth came loose, she could wobble them

So she stuck them with glue

They were better than new

And she got out the toffees and chobbled 'em

My broomstick's gone in for repair

Like me its lost all its hair

I've massaged my roots.

And blackened my boots.

But I'm still called 'you silly old mare!"

My broomstick came back, its a cracker!
