(Like Ana, can I appeal to anyone who thinks they are posting lines for a limerick to read them out loud first. It should sound like this:-
There was a young la dy from Eal ing Who walked upside down on the ceil ing She fell on her neck And mur mured "By heck What a ve ry pe cul iar feel ing"
with the emphasis on the blacker syllables

It can have extra unstressed (unemphasised) syllables next to the single unstressed ones, but a limerick does have a shape of its own. That is what it is.
(come on GNrs. This is really getting out of any reasonable limerick style. Some discipline is needed here! Pull yourselves together and lay off the gin.)
At one line for each poster that makes 5 lines for each limerick and after I post this it will be 49 left. So we could get 9 more limericks and four comments. I think!
