Fancy writing a group limerick ?

My Gran is like Hyacinth Bucket (pronounce as you wish!)

And grandad a naughty roué

(We overlapped here?)

She says that she came from Nantucket

I don't think that's true,

She thinks she's true blue....

I won't put what came onto my head!

Ah! Go on! Galen Go on! were are all grown up enough to be childish if needed.

But I think she's a total muppet.

I chickened out too Galen.

Teetering on the edge were we! Better clean the act up then ...

Whilst out in the park for a walk

Twirling a rose by the stalk,

I felt a prick

So the rose I did flick

And I threw it away with a squawk!

Whilst gearing up for the marathon.

My lycra and trainers I did don

That Lycra stretched it showed my bulges.

Which are what you get
When you over-indulges

I don't think I'll be winning a gong!

But Papa let's hope that you're wrong

All our hopes and wishes are with Mo Farrah.

This is line one not just a statement.

May he not cross the line in a barrah

(Are these last ones limericks ? They sound more like pomes to me. You can only stretch the rhythms so far! Say the out loud and I think you'll agree)
