Hi I have never done this before but I really don't know what to do. My DD sent me a card yesterday (Valentines) saying they are moving, I was so shocked I thought it was a joke, I soon realised it wasn't. I have shared the two most beautiful grandchildren's lives since the first hours they were born and see them nearly every day I cannot imagine my life without them and only being able to see them once or twice a year. I can not think rationally at the moment and just keep crying I have been up since 3.30 this morning and found this site to see what other GP do in this situation. Why is it that my love for these two is so powerful? I wont be there for all their special times my GS is 2 and GD just 7, we have always done special things like Halloween parties with cousins and friends, garden parties, camping in the garden etc now I wont be a part of that, my DH and I both work just to survive no holidays etc so getting money together to visit is not going to be easy. I can't say how much pain I feel it is beyond what I ever thought imaginable. DD is hoping for a new life and yes I want that but why do I have to be brave I have all the time while bringing up my DD and DS watching them grow, make mistakes, etc I was hoping in my old age life changing things would be a thing of the past I just want to curl up in a ball and wake to find it is a dream.x
After 10 years of estrangement I was invited into my son's house.
What's one health habit you've started that's actually made a difference?
