Good morning everyone. The sun is shining so I am off to hang out the washing on the roof. DH has another walk with the Ramblers today. I seem to get a lot more done when he is out!

Good morning - looks like a nice day here in Dordogne - that will please DH as he is hoping to finish pruning the trees.
As to the eye drops Mick - an optical friend told me it helps to pull the lower lid down when putting in the drops. I find tipping my head well back helps. Was your pressure good?

Ariadne happy Birthday whatever the weather. Dry ish here so far. I'm off house hunting today, a mixture of excitement and trepidation. The idea of selling here where I have been happy with DH scary, somehow feels disloyal as if I am leaving him behind but I need to find a me sized house now. Trouble is I'm not sure who the widowed me is but maybe I'll begin to find out.

Happy birthday Ariadne, hope you have a good one, I am 68 on Thursday, we must be kindred spirits born two days apart.
Mick glad you got on ok at eye clinic, I will be there on Thursday, not a good way to spend your birthday as I will have the dreaded drops to dilate pupils, so will not be able to focus for hours afterwards.
New sofa arrived yesterday and it looks braw, only trouble is Jojo, the cat has taken a shine to it and is sharpening his claws on the arms and this morning he jumped all over it with filthy paws. Sigh!!
Bit stormy today, have stinking cold and cant stop sneezing, happy days.

Morning everyone I slept in today yipee. A rare occurrence but a good one. Glad to hear you had a good doctor Mick it makes the experience easier doesn't it. Happy birthday Ariadne. Hope it stops raining for you Nfk my condolences. Sewsilver what amazing progress your making I think your DH you'll be incredibly proud. It's grey here in kent less grey than yesterday but never the less grey and very very windy. I start back at work tomorrow after 6 weeks sickness so I'd better get organised.

It's grey and overcast in North Leicestershire but an hour ago it was pouring down, so things are improving.

My DGC are wonderful, they have given me the most awful cold - bless their little cotton socks

It's dry and fairly bright here, so I'm hoping we don't get any rain for a while.

Seems to have stopped raining here, it was poring when I woke up.

I had to get a new monitor yesterday...had been using my old TV for one for about a year, but it has now developed a terminal lack of RED on the screen, everything looks very weird and it is not solvable, so I have a new one one size bigger and v e r y wide.

Time to look at the instructions and fix it up. Must get dressed first though.

Not a nice morning in Cambridgeshire. Wind and rain lashing at the windows, guttering overflowing, dogs scared of the gusts and we keep losing the telly signal.

Mick there is a clever little device for inserting your own eye drops which I remember buying for.my Dad after his glaucoma op. If you have a disabled livivg shop in Banbury ask there. It was invaluable as he was on his own and most of the drops went everywhere except where they were meant to! Eye pressures are funny , mine were way over acceptable before Christmas so my optometrist did another pressure test under local a week later and they were fine [cnfused] Good luck!
