I thought that we had already reached the 1000 messages. Maybe we haven't. Anyway...for when we do, here's the new extension. I'm making it warm and cosy and there are date slices to be enjoyed. Rory has claimed his corner of the sofa. wink

Just call yourself Sporran and we will know who you are!

Elegran Sun 15-Dec-13 18:08:27

Get one for Rory as well. I bet he could tell some tales. We might hear the full story of that epic fight against his attacker.

Wonderful news Mr Soop! Love to Soop, Rory, and your good self of course!

Ariadne Sun 15-Dec-13 18:12:30

Yes, Sporran would be good. Or John O' Soop? Go on, Mr S!

Just called in to make sure that everywhere is clean and tidy, the flowers are fresh flowers and the kettle is hot.
soop, the cushions are plumped on the sofa, and we are ready to keep you comfortable whenever you're ready to join us.

Ta dah! Well now, what have you lot been up to? I've enough messages to trawl through to keep me fully occupied for the rest of today. First things first...Bags THANK YOU [yes, I'm shouting] from the bottom of my heart for your on going support. flowers To travel so far, for the third time to visit me in hospital is a mark of real friendship.

I'm overwhelmed by all the many messages, beautiful cards and phone calls from my Granspals. Each and every message made me feel better. I really am lost for words. Gransnet has enriched my life in many ways. My cyber friends are very important to me. Thank you so much. sunshine

Mr soop isn't 100% but is beginning to feel more upbeat since he collected me from hospital. He seems to have developed a proper soft spot for a good many Granspals. hmm

My discharge letter indicates that I was admitted with Pneumonia. I certainly haven't felt so ghastly in ages. Cleaning my teeth, wore me out. Ridiculous! The fifth choice of antibiotics was "a bit special" according to Professor Yassaf. We're going discoing on Boxing Day if he's not on call wink

Lorn and Islands Hospital is the tops. It's my second stay and the staff are marvellous. Respectful, kind and courteous. I shall write a letter to the Oban Times to say a public thank you for all their care.

Being a patient in hospital is a great "leveller". There were some sad sights which made me feel really grateful to be alive and kicking. Good health is all important. Something money cannot buy. smile

Poor Mr soop has discovered that his wedding ring has slipped off his finger. We're hunting all around the house. He's most distressed. If we cannot find it, I shall replace it.

As for Rory...he greeted me with a sniffy look that said..."And where do you think you've been?" Ah well, he's still a treasure.

Once again, thank you. It's wonderful to be back. tchgrin

Glad you're back home where you belong, soop. We've missed you and were a bit worried. Pneumonia is horrible - no wonder you were exhausted. Feet up now and relax whilst we busy round you - just lift your feet while we vac this bit of the rug, and now you can just listen to relaxing music and ring this little bell if there's anything you need. Cup of tea in five minutes? grin

soop Tue 17-Dec-13 14:21:53

jings Yay! My GP had me take two lots of antibiotics prior to admission. Neither made a jot of difference. In hospital I was put on intravenous anti wotsits. Ten a change to oral...and finally a wonder drug which, after day four helped to turn things around.
Thank you
Grannyknot, Ana, moomin, Elegran, kitty and Bellasnana...seems I won't be doing much beyond visiting GN today. Washing cycle finished over an hour ago. Need to shift my arse and do something about it. tchhmm

Galen Tue 17-Dec-13 14:22:31
