Soops kitchen extension 2

Always knew you were lovely people and that just confirms it. It would never occur to me to do something similar.

I'm just going to make a coffee and have a slice of lemon drizzle cake. Help yourselves, I know it's a favourite

My car battery has just died, but luckily I'd just parked it outside my local Motrax and asked the very nice young man to check it. He's ordered a new one and will fit it in the next hour or so. Phew!
I really hate breaking down/not starting, it makes me panic

Liz and I will help to eat your lemon drizzle cake. Seem to recall that it is beautifully sticky...I may be able to find some clotted cream to dollop on top.

The ferry looks beautiful as it makes it's way to Islay. The bright sunshine acts like a spotlight. Although it is way out to sea, I can still hear the low thrum of the engine.

Am enjoying a book written by Ann Cleeves. Bags introduced me to this writer. Have any of my Granspals read her books?

On occasions, the pupils at the small village school, invite a couple to share lunch with them. MacSporran and I have a date with the pupils on Wednesday. The same pupils always make a perfect wee Christmas cake for all the Senior Citizens in the village.

Am about to sweep up after the builder who's putting the finishing touches to the new kitchen extension. We shall have to celebrate the event with Champagne and lots of those delicious nibbles from M&S.

Yummy- also I have not seen Rory for a few hours so I must pop in to say hello to him.

Charleygirl Rory has barely lifted an eyelid all day. At any time now his daughter [Tortoiseshell kitten] will make her way through the forest and appear on top of the kennel/log store. I shall attempt to open the cupboard as quietly as I can, remove a tin of Tesco's finest cat food, fill her special dish and walk through the kitchen door [on tip toe] to feed her. Will he know? Will he care? You bet! He'll be right beside me in a trice. He will whinge and attempt to push follow me into the garden. How to stop him? Answers in code, please. He's a highly intelligent pussy cat.

I haven`t read any Ann Cleeves, but have watched all the episodes of Vera on TV, love them.

MacSporran has an appointment for another procedure at the New Victoria Hospital...a mere 260 mile round trip in a fortnight or so. He will be in the "day ward" and can return home the same day. I was wondering whether or not my pal *bags would be able to manage the journey. Possibly much too far for her.

DGD2, (aged 3 in May) who is one of the two currently here, has developed the habit of saying 'It's a pleasure, Ma' whenever I thank her for something.

She was away towards the end of last week, kitty but she's dropped in a couple of times since....my three year old has to say 'actually' after everything.

kitty I'm missing Soutra too. Any Granspals know of her whereabouts?

'Actually'.... reminds me of my youngest, coming into our bed in the morning - I must have said it was my bed, and she said 'MY bed, actually' - she was two!

Spice is a moggie (from a horse stud in Wantage where I was doing some house painting - extra dosh - and their cat had her kittens in the garage.)
She's a tortoiseshell.

Actually ...Moggies are marvellous.

And the first word my daughter said was 'A! A! A!' watching and pointing at the one at our friends' house!
