My family, reading, the mountains, freedom, a good meal, UK TV, Radio 4, walking, travel, coral, snuggling under my duvet when the snow is whirling outside. And Gransnet of course.
My family, the sunshine, my friends, Purcell and Bach and Handel, sunshine, the countryside, sunshine, my cat, the sun, reading about Phoenix' cats, other countries (but not the travelling) and the sun when we get there, good food, good wine ( especially in the sun), weddings and Christenings. And I'd better stop here.
Visiting my grandaughters. When I arrive the 3 year old rushes up to be in obvious joy at seeing her granny, we have such fun together. The 1 year old puts her fat little arms around your neck and gives such a hug it just melts your heart. All the stuff everyone has listed but it's these two little girls that have given our family such joy. I'm besotted can you tell?
Its so nice to read happy things for a change and not serious things, reading all these posts remind me of all the things I should be happy about. we should make it a regular post... WHAT HAS MADE YOU HAPPY TODAY..what do you think Guys...........Its defiantly put a smile on my face reading them..
DH smiling at me, emails from family, little ones hugging, sewing, reading in bed with an electric blanket on,DH bringing me a cup of tea in bed andtoday the workmen have left.
I find happiness in many small things; my grandson telling me he loves me, receiving a hug from a shy student, hot tea on a cold morning, a caress from my husband.......I'm not hard to please.
My husband. A hungry family around my dinner table; catching up with old friends; junk modelling with my grandson (doing anything with my grandson). Smiling at people and getting one back. Being out in the fresh air, up to my thighs in water, with a fishing rod in my hand.
Family, my DH who has fought back from a stroke and puts 110% into every day, music, my huge garden which is almost a full time job, books, my dogs, cat and chickens, waking up knowing I no longer have to go to work and most of all realising how lucky I am to have what I have.
