jings old bean, did you really only have one name on mumsnet, that jangly one?

Really?

And truly-ooly?

wink

soop Sat 12-May-12 15:41:22

jings where are you hiding? Are you on a walkabout? It's awful quiet without you. grin

jeni Sat 12-May-12 15:50:58

I think I've upset her again!

soop Sat 12-May-12 15:54:21

jeni Surely not. Why can't we all jostle along and enjoy each other? Gracious me, life really is far too short!

Bags Sat 12-May-12 15:55:16

Nah. I've forgotten what it was now, or which thread, so it can't matter much. You'll be back, won't you, jings. Are you really up to 739. Worse than me! wink

Jacey Sat 12-May-12 16:08:29

Think it was the N. piercing/cancer fund one Bags

I actually agreed with her too confused

soop Sat 12-May-12 16:17:31

There you go...we're all entitled to an opinion. I could have shut up shop umpteen times since joining you lot...but I'd never have as much fun on my ownsome. Come on jings we're one, big, bossy, beautiful, bolshy, barmy gang grin

soop Sat 12-May-12 16:18:24

...what more do you want? wink

Bags Sat 12-May-12 16:38:43

Actually, she came back for that one, jacey, as imjings. She had been imjingl. She said 'bye' on another thread a couple of days before that, if I am not mistaken. That's the one I've forgotten.

shysal Sat 12-May-12 16:39:09

She posted a grin yesterday on the "free the gransnet one" thread, so she is lurking!

Bags Sat 12-May-12 16:39:34

Sorry, jings, I was hoping to talk to you rather than about you.

Bags Sat 12-May-12 16:46:47

"Grans are grandmas and grandpas" thread. 8th May.

Bags Sat 12-May-12 16:47:30

So, come back as jingl7 or something, eh jings? smile

Anagram Sat 12-May-12 17:01:32

Who's jinglo then? confused

soop Sat 12-May-12 17:02:57

We really don't mind what you call yourself. Please come back and stay put. And that's a friendly ask, jingl smile

Bags Sat 12-May-12 17:03:27

That was jingl's[insert random number] identity.

soop Sat 12-May-12 17:09:15

Bags that answers my original question. By the 'eck this really is taking up too much of my time. Feed cats. Bring in washing. Throw a roast in the oven. Hoppity hop with 55 mins to G&T time...slurp! grin

Which reminds me, I must boil up that lamb leg bone again. Wonder if all the lovely nutritious marrow has come out yet?

Heads bonewards.....

jeni Sat 12-May-12 17:15:43

Was just reading claudio Rodin. Apparently they used to hire out a ham bone to put in a stew. Is that what you are doing bags?

Anagram Sat 12-May-12 17:17:09

Wonder if it's Duncan's old bone?
when may be getting rid of the evidence.....hmm

jeni Sat 12-May-12 17:18:20

Now there's an idea!

Bags Sat 12-May-12 17:41:47

Hire out? So it was used in several soup/stew pots. How weird! We had a half leg of lamb the other day. DH gnawed off the remaining meat for his lunch the next day. Then I took the bone and a wooden board and a butcher's cleaver outside and hacked it in half so the marrow could get out more easily. Then I chucked it in a pan with an onion roughly chopped but not peeled (the skins give a nice dark yellow/orange colour), and some mushrooms that had dried up because I'd forgotten about them. I think that was all.

At some point I'll make some soup but haven't decided what kind yet. The contents of various bowls of leftovers in the fridge may decide this.

When I lived in Dundee I used to buy a big marrow bone from the butcher to make lentil soup, which was our staple other than porridge and peanut butter butties. It was dead good.

jeni Sat 12-May-12 17:52:44

Yes apparently the cost varied according to how many minutes you put it in for and many times it had been previously used. It's in her new Spanish cooking book,

jeni Sat 12-May-12 17:53:22

I adore marrow!

jingl5001aprrox Sat 12-May-12 17:57:56

Bags. Yes. That and 'agy' previously.

jeni. You have never upset me. As if! hmm mwah

*soop^. Not hiding. Been down the pub out for lunch. sunshine here! grin

I haven't left because of anything any poster has said, or because of any particular thread. I just spend too much time on here.

My name is jingl5001approx and I'm a gransnet-aholic. And I've got to get over it.
