Who singed Donald's rear?
This is the burning question of the day
Did Donald as a demonstration against humankind attemp self-immolation?
Or was this a dastardley attack by a dog/cat hater?
GN awaits YOUR views on this nationwide debate!

No way, when! We need someone Who Wasn't There! hmm

whitewave Thu 10-May-12 17:39:12

I think we ought to have a vote - I vote dog

jeni Thu 10-May-12 17:39:35

Hang on!
I'm the one who has taken the judicial oath!

whitewave Thu 10-May-12 17:43:38

Yes but for someone who can't even get the poor dog's name right --well?!

jeni Thu 10-May-12 17:43:58

Any way, I vote cat. They always look as if they know it all!

whenim64 Thu 10-May-12 17:44:18

You would convict us all jeni if the truth didn't come out! grin I feel safer with the dog (I have liver pieces in my pocket!) grin

Ariadne Thu 10-May-12 17:44:47

when I rest my case...

whitewave Thu 10-May-12 17:46:45

I think cats only look as if they know it all they actually know nothing

whenim64 Thu 10-May-12 17:46:56

What????? grin

whenim64 Thu 10-May-12 17:48:04

That was to Ariadne. I agree cats know nothing grin

whitewave Thu 10-May-12 17:50:34

So we are all agreed then except our potential judge that it won't be a cat for judge. any other ideas? Dunc hates liver - he's just toddled off for his evening constitutional with his poor singed bum it is tragic

nelliedeane Thu 10-May-12 17:52:43

I have suggested on another thread just cant remember where Rover may have self ignited....cant resist this pun ''arson fire'' had he sniffed round any open cans of beans the scouts brought for their breakfast hmm

jeni Thu 10-May-12 17:53:53

Ouch![pained emoticon]

whitewave Thu 10-May-12 17:54:15

one more worrying thing that I would like to bring to your attention is the fact that our potential judge does seem to imbibe a lot of virtual wine - does anyone know if she has a problem?

jeni Thu 10-May-12 17:56:19

Where do you think the saying 'as sober as a judge ' comes from?
Who are you talking about anyway? We all drinkwine

nelliedeane Thu 10-May-12 17:57:15

Think it may be medicinal as she is a medical lady and she is self medicating......but living in virtual glasshouse dont like to throw stonesxx

jeni Thu 10-May-12 17:59:28

I'm not a judge I'm the 'medically qualified panel member' but we still have to take an oath to administer justice without fear or favour!

whitewave Thu 10-May-12 17:59:49

Well clearly "sober as a judge" only applies to some of us

not saying who I am talking about it doesn't do to gossip

Oxon70 Thu 10-May-12 18:00:52

I wasn't there - and I'm NOT HERE now either, i'm just lurking and giggling.

Cats know everything but they never tell

whitewave Thu 10-May-12 18:02:59

Will someone ensure that conversation remains at the same sensible and intellectual level as I have to ensure that I don't burn tonights supper Thanks speak soon

Anagram Thu 10-May-12 18:05:21

I don't want to cast aspersions on someone who has 'left the room', but in view of whitewave's admitted tendency to burn things....need I say more? wink

jeni Thu 10-May-12 18:06:20

I am AlWAYS sensible and intellectual. Who are you casting nasturtiums at?

nelliedeane Thu 10-May-12 18:07:45

cats always look as though they have c*****d in some one elses garden/patio pot and it is a guilty secret for you to find.

jeni Thu 10-May-12 18:07:51

I think you have a valid point there counsel!
But we still have to prove why, and how!

Greatnan Thu 10-May-12 18:08:58

I have taken the oath for the Offical Secrets Act and been vetted , so I must be right when I say the dog was not singed at all - it was a insurance scam.
