yogagran Fri 20-Apr-12 18:33:32

So sorry to hear you sad news Elegran, thoughts and flowers for you

nanachrissy Fri 20-Apr-12 19:35:17

Carol, Thanks,I'm so pleased she has titian hair as that was my colour when I was younger. Now it's lost all the red and just gone mud coloured at the back!
Also I'm secretly pleased because it will be a constant source of annoyance to my first ex (her gdad)! grin

Small things amuse small minds!! blush Tee hee.

Elegran flowers

Oldgreymare Sat 21-Apr-12 09:08:30

... and flowers from me too Elegran

gracesmum Sat 21-Apr-12 10:35:32

Dear elegran, flowers I cried when I read your post and the phrase "a happy and holy death" sprang to mind. One could not ask for a more peaceful passing than to say goodnight to one's nearest and dearest knowing they are nearby and then fall asleep. I hope my Christian sentiments do not offend anybody but it also reminded me of what our curate said after we lost a very dear friend - that she fell asleep and woke in paradise. Condolences to you and all your family and comfort now that your DH is at peace. xxx

I think that it's the way that we would all choose to go gracesmum isn't it

jeni Sat 21-Apr-12 18:21:45

Well I've spent the day reading files for the tribunal and drinking lovely large hot coffees from my new toy. It's great i just go into the kitchen, push a button and hey presto!
The only thing it doesn't do is take it to my chair and give me a biscuit!
Awesome, as dd would say. smile

bagitha Sat 21-Apr-12 18:24:08

[jeni] grin

I mean, jeni grin

Not enough coffee here perhaps!

jeni Sat 21-Apr-12 18:27:32

jeni Sat 21-Apr-12 18:28:03

You've got me at it nowconfused

glassortwo Sat 21-Apr-12 19:36:59

jeni have you got a new toy, I am on my way over for a coffee grin be there in 5.

jeni Sat 21-Apr-12 19:41:02

It's a bean to cup coffee maker that you programme for how you like your coffee. You need a degree to work it . Gary the Gardner set it all up for me yesterday. It's great!

GoldenGran Sat 21-Apr-12 19:41:29

Mmm I can smell it here,I'm in Devon visiting friends, and it is very strong, where are you, I'll be over in a minute.

Grannylin Sat 21-Apr-12 20:01:30

Me too! What's Gary the Gardener like?grin

Anagram Sat 21-Apr-12 20:03:17

Is he related to Pheonix's naturist window cleaner? wink

jeni Sat 21-Apr-12 20:32:13

No he's Kate the cleaners husband. They keep chickens and seem to regard me as being in the same categoryconfused ie I need looking after, poor old dear that I am smile

Anagram Sat 21-Apr-12 20:35:18

That's lovely, jeni!

yogagran Sat 21-Apr-12 22:04:20

Does your new coffee machine make the coffee really hot jeni? I have a "bean to cup" machine and have to warm the milk or make a cappuccino (double p - double c?) to have a nice hot cup

jeni Sat 21-Apr-12 22:08:41

Yes but then I drink cappuccino or latte any way. Gary the Gardner drinks his black and it was hot. It's the de longhi magnifica 4.350

jeni Sat 21-Apr-12 22:10:01

Oh it froths the milk as well.really is just press a button. I got it 1/2 price on eBay.

glassortwo Sat 21-Apr-12 22:19:58

I love a bargain. grin

gracesmum Sun 22-Apr-12 14:04:48

DD has one she was given for Mother's Day by her very discerning sons (5 months and 23 months, but what excellent good taste!)
It's the one with George Clooney, but funnily enough he didn't seem to come with it sad

grannyactivist Sun 22-Apr-12 14:48:52

Elegran and nanachrissy - thinking of you both this week as you're getting to grips with the aftermath of recent bereavements. nanachrissy; will continue to hope for a breakthrough with your daughter at this sad time.

I've just qualified for an increase of 25p in my pension I am so over the moon. I dont know if I should save it to buy a new toy like Jeni's , it sounds so wonderful just what I need. If if saved it for a year I would have £13, ten year's £130 whoopi. how long would I have to save it to to get the coffee machine tho? I want it now, cos looking at it practically I dont know if I'll make another ten year's.
Second thought's I could save the 25p for month and buy a lottery ticket and IF I won I could then buy one.
Otherwise has anyone any suggestion's as to what to do with my 25p it really is burning a hole in my pocket. I really need help with this, it's keeping me awake at night.
