Trawling through computer for favourite Wee Man images. Have uploaded three pics of me from way back when. The "glam" shot was taken three years ago. We were staying at the Malmaison in Glasgow. Daughter-in-law was newly pregnant smile. The photo in white blouse was taken in our barn conversion kitchen circa 1997. The big specs image, shortly after I'd had gall bladder op.

Had a lovely morning shopping with my GD (7). We dropped her brother at daycare and tackled the Sydney buses. Went to the Mall and found some jogging pants for her and some shorts for me (silly me, did not think summer would still be here in NSW...) She went on one of those bungee jumping things and flew high above my head with balletic legs and long blonde hair flying. Then tried a few back flips. It is great to see her so strong, athletic and adventurous - something I missed out on as a child. Then collected 4 yr old , half an hour int he park admiring them climbing and took the free bus home. They sat on the floor and played dinosaurs together for over half an hour, harmoniously !!!! (this is unusual - a golden moment) Both asleep now. Phew.

Been for annual blood test, including inflammatory markers for the PMR. (See my new thread on Polymyalgia). Going to pick up senior GD for lunch. She has volunteered to do some much-needed vacuuming for me - my shoulders can't cope with much more than a little light dusting.

Ariadne Wed 11-Apr-12 10:57:57

How lovely, Jess! I can tell how much you're loving it all; isn't it great to be part of their lives? Carry on having a wonderful time, you have our full permission!

Annobel saw your thread on PM, about which I know nothing, but it sounds awful. Sending you a (very gentle) ((hug)).

Making a new wood pile with rhododendron logs (yes, logs) from branches that I cut down last year, or maybe the year before, and burning the small stuff. Thirst-making work.

SOOP Wed 11-Apr-12 12:15:13

jess your light-hearted joy is infectious. sunshine

bagitha...I'll join you in a mug of coffee brew cupcake

Annobell I was diagnosed with PM about six months ago. Will go to your new thread. flowers

Today I've been unpacking after a few days away with my husband over Easter. smile I don't really have time to catch up yet, but couldn't resist popping in to see what's been going on. Off to get the next lot of washing on the line now and will return when I have more free time.

Carol Wed 11-Apr-12 12:50:39

Feeling exhausted after a couple of days with my dad who told me he was going to die last night! (He didn't!) but I thought he was too.sad
Today the doc visited and said he could last a while longer yet. Honestly if you saw him, he looks like a little heap of bones with skin on.
It seems to be such a struggle for him,he isn't in any pain but he is so uncomfortable and weak, why does the body take so long to shut down?

My dd has distanced herself from me and ds and that is so upsetting too.

Not at my best right now.

glassortwo Wed 11-Apr-12 16:52:31

I've been 'stripping the willow'. Went to a Willow Workshop today and made a large Scandinavian Woven Heart out of willow bark. Met a singer, potter and conservationist. A lovely, interesting and productive day. smile

Annobel Wed 11-Apr-12 17:13:52

Lovely bonding with GD, Jess. Glad you are having so much fun. smile.
Here we are having some heavy April showers - of hail! I went through some flooded bits, driving to Manchester. The odd sunny interval isn't really worth waiting for!
