I have just followed a tweet from Grannynet (first time I have been over there) asking if Gransnet are taking product testing too far sending out samples of lubricants. grin Have a look.

Just had a peek at grannynet(I don't think anyone saw me wink) they do seem a prissy lot! Someone got into trouble on here for suggesting we are slightly past our sell by date but they all seem yonks older than us and much more easily shocked!shock

greenmossgiel Sat 10-Mar-12 13:54:41

Had another look....seem a bit 'twee', do they not? Oh, and if Netgrans think I'm a middle-class snob, they need to come and have a look at me...! I'm anything but that! 'Heaven forfend'!! grinwink

I can't find Netgrans - how did they know I am a middle class snob confused

greenmossgiel Sat 10-Mar-12 14:06:31

I've looked for them as well, kitty. All I could find was Netmums. I think Netgrans was a thread, perhaps? Anyway....confused

Just had a look. They all seem to be mums with young children. Why do they call themselves net gran's?

Elegran Sat 10-Mar-12 14:30:11

There was a thread on here which reported comments about us all being being middle-class and insulated from the problems faced by ordinary ?mums/grans? who were having trouble feeding their children. Then the original poster on here (forget who it was) admitted she had misread it and it was perhaps not about Gransnet at all but Mumsnet, with Gransnet indirectly implicated.

At least I think that was it. If I gave you a bum steer incorrect information, my apologies.

I meant I don't see how we can simultaneously be troublemakers and remote from troubles - we are damned if we do and damned if we don't. But then, that is what being old codgers is all about.

There isn't a Netgrans. I've already told yer that! hmm

wotsamashedupjingl Sat 10-Mar-12 14:58:51

wotsamashedupjingl Sat 10-Mar-12 14:59:18

If you've found a Netgrans, you link to it!

wotsamashedupjingl Sat 10-Mar-12 14:59:54

Please! smile

jeni Sat 10-Mar-12 15:27:03

Can't do links, too technical for my tiny brain! But I just typed netgrans into google, then searc, then 'voila' there it was! Simplesgrin

nanachrissy Sat 10-Mar-12 15:33:51

All I can say is DON'T tell them about the party tonight or I we could get into a lot of trouble with the boys in blue!! shock

kittylester Sat 10-Mar-12 15:36:34

Don't worry nanachrissy they will all be tucked up drinking their cocoa! grin

harrigran Sat 10-Mar-12 15:54:47

Or maybe cleaning their pearls and ironing their twinsets wink

wotsamashedupjingl Sat 10-Mar-12 15:59:02

Is it the first one that comes up under the pink coloured advert one? That SAYS Netgrans, but when you click on it it is Netmums. It's just a thread on netmums about starting up something for Grans. grin

wotsamashedupjingl Sat 10-Mar-12 15:59:18

You go and click on it. grin

wotsamashedupjingl Sat 10-Mar-12 16:00:11

That is to jeni btw.

jeni Sat 10-Mar-12 16:02:04

Hey! I LOVE pearls. I have three stranded with a sapphire and diamond clasp that was my dh's last gift to me. A single strand that was my 21st present, astring of rose quartz and pearls. One of red coral and pearls, and multiple strings of freshwater pearls. WHAT IS WRONG with that?
I think I'll sulk and go to the other lot. I'll tell them all about you sex obsessed lot with your orgies!
So there! [tongue stocking out]

jeni Sat 10-Mar-12 16:03:55

Greatnan Sat 10-Mar-12 16:07:14

Now the fun begins - you don't have to be a member to read posts and we can all go over and try to spot jingle's alter ego!

kittylester Sat 10-Mar-12 16:09:58

Any twinsets though jeni? grin

jeni Sat 10-Mar-12 16:17:37

Yes. One. Very modern . Bought in a market somewhere in the Baltic area!

wotsamashedupjingl Sat 10-Mar-12 16:26:15

glammanana Sat 10-Mar-12 16:26:55

Is it cashmere jeni in a pale colour grin

Annobel Sat 10-Mar-12 16:40:31

Had a look but couldn't identify jingl's alter ego. I like their glitzy graphics! But don't think they have our sense of humour. Who has?
