Where is everyone? I know I'm not the only insomniac; been awake since 3.00 and I'm now bored....

supernana Sat 03-Dec-11 14:06:11

Annobel...my husband now sleeps on the sofa - not because he doesn't love me but because I'm on the move throughout the night [trying to get comfy] and seem to need an entire bed in which to get myself organised. I suppose that really is love for you...hugs

Annobel Sat 03-Dec-11 14:15:28

super, at least I don't have that problem - the best thing about being divorced is having a double bed all to myself. Not that I recommend that solution. (((((hug)))))

Gally Sat 03-Dec-11 20:06:50

annobel super harri thanks Hope your aches and pains will soon disappear. Your probs. make my bursitis feel like a walk in the park

Annobel Sat 03-Dec-11 20:12:21

Ouch! Gally, don't think bursitis is much fun either. thanks

grannyactivist Sun 04-Dec-11 00:16:56

Annobel please do go back to your GP, I agree with your sister that there seems to be a link between the reduced steroid dosage and the resurgence of pain, the GP needs to reassess your treatment. That early morning pain is pretty grim isn't it? I really do empathise - have another ((((hug)))). smile

Good morning everyone! Definitely indigestion this time - the sort that you know only sitting up will cure. My own fault; we were out last night and I had a second helping of a delicious curry.....Now sitting with a mug of peppermint tea.

bagitha Sun 04-Dec-11 08:22:48

Good morning! I had a lie in this morning till 0730. It doesn't happen often. There's a little snow on the ground in the garden so winter has definitely started. I reckon I'm allowed to sleep in a bit in winter.

Hope you're feeling a bit better by now, ariadne.

bikergran Sun 04-Dec-11 08:59:03

Morning all....had a bit of a lie in..smile and going to have an easy day, prob go n visit my mum n dad,,,or I could go Ikea with my daughter(which will cost me money somewhere along the line, so I think I will take a rain check on that lol)........ grandson is at his dads at a party so I only have hubby to amuse! and he will be off in his train station so........... the worlds my oyster...smile brew

JessM Sun 04-Dec-11 09:15:59

A better sleep after a late night - but managed to get up at 7 and catch DS etc in Sydney on Skype, at last! smile

Notsogrand Sun 04-Dec-11 09:33:04

Good morning everyone, I had a bit of a lie in too.
A lovely image of snow on the ground in your garden bags.
I'm going to try and finish off decorating the kitchen today, it's dragged on a bit because I've been sidetracked into other things.
Wishing everyone a pleasant Sunday. smile

Sitting sipping tea very carefully...when I brought the washing in yesterday afternoon, the clothes prop slipped and hit me on the forehead. I pushed it back and it slipped again and smacked me in the mouth sad! I look as if I've done a round with Tyson! Didn't have ice in the freezer so had to clamp a bag of frozen apple sauce to my mouth! Was more worried about my new denture breaking, but it was fine...just cut sharply into the inside of my lip! Picture me? Egg-sized lump on forehead and fat lip - who needs botox?! And the washing wasn't even dry! confused

bagitha Sun 04-Dec-11 09:50:43

Ouch, green! hope it heals fast — and the washing dries today! sad

greenmossgiel Sun 04-Dec-11 09:53:59

Thank you, bagitha! smile

Annobel Sun 04-Dec-11 10:23:18

thanks GA. I will try for an appointment with one or other of the GPs I've been dealing with and try to get some solution before Christmas. Exuberant GSs are hard to handle with aching joints! Yes, mornings are not easy. Driving is almost impossible before midday. (((((hugs))))) to you too.

Butternut Sun 04-Dec-11 10:27:50

Thank you notso - and hope you have a better day today, gm!

JessM Sun 04-Dec-11 11:27:44

Ah green the price we pay for trying to be green and dry the clothes outdoors in Dec. Actually have done this quite a bit in the last week.
Hope you heal soon. Sounds like a big owie.

nanachrissy Sun 04-Dec-11 11:49:54

I do sympathise with you all. I wake mostly about 4am, and have various aches and excruciating pains, and now my hips are giving me trouble too. It wears me down this getting old lark sometimes, so it's quite nice to have a moan on here, and then get on with it in a better frame of mind! smile

yogagran Sun 04-Dec-11 11:52:02

Oh green that sounds horrid - poor you, hope the bumps and bruises fade quickly

Ariadne Mon 05-Dec-11 04:55:35

Good morning! Bright and early today; up at 3.30, thought briefly about writing Christmas cards so sat down until the thought passed.
How's the snow up north?

greenmossgiel Mon 05-Dec-11 09:49:52

Just a wee slight dusting here in Fife, Ariadne. Very, very cold, though. The birds have been queueing up for their food and water this morning! Did you manage to get back to sleep? smile

bagitha Mon 05-Dec-11 09:52:14

Crunchy up here as we got hail as well as snow. More coming over now....

Time to get the crampons out.

The chickens are disgusted! wink

nanachrissy Mon 05-Dec-11 10:04:00

Very mixed here. One minute black and hail/rain, and then bright sunshine. Doesn't feel too cold though.
Slobbing this morning with a migraine, waiting for the tablet to finish it off!
hmm

Annobel Mon 05-Dec-11 10:52:52

Extremely dark now and we've had a blizzard of that small hard stuff sleet/hail/snow - but now I think it's raining. I've just got my big winter coat out of its summer hiding place. Don't really want to go out, but some necessary errands to do.

Joan Mon 05-Dec-11 22:40:00

I'm up! It is 8.30am (10.30 pm to you lot) and I'm wondering what to do today. I have to rehearse my part in a sketch for the U3A Christmas 'do'. I'll probably do this in the back garden, though I might scare the chooks (chickens)

I also have to make some mince pies, do some sewing, and plant some seeds.

Bugger it, even thinking about all that work is making me tired. I'll just put my feet up for half an hour.....

greenmossgiel Mon 05-Dec-11 22:43:45

Joan, I'm just about to hit the sack! It's so very cold here tonight.....don't want to tear myself away from the fire to go creeping into my cold bedroom....brrrr! Get cracking with that rehearsal!! winkgrin
