Carer agency and council

I had three different care agencies to help with my father .
The first one was good , but he sacked them .
The second and third were appalling and he was afraid of them .
I didn't trust them further than I could throw them .
I'm presuming that it's a question of money and that more money is being asked for than the Council will accept .

If your mother is happy with the current agency - can you stay with a familiar choice ?

You are doing your best for her and it's upsetting for her to have a changeover .

i guess the contract with the council is ending.
could you request direct payments; i'm not sure what it's called, but where the council recognise that she needs a certain number of hours and they pay for those hours and you can choose who carries it out.
that is assuming that a financial and care needs assessment has been done.
does she have any assets, or could the family pay for a while, as there is usually a gap between requesting anything from the council and getting a response.
could you contact your local carers' centre, sometime called princess royal centres, for advice.
