SpinDriftCoastal There's nothing weird about it. I moved house to a completely new area three years ago left all my friends behind. I met a woman at a bus stop who seemed really nice and was getting the same bus, and we were chatting and then on the bus we were talking and she said if we bump into each other again we could go for a coffee, but she had to get off the bus before we exchanged details. Anyway, I met her again at the same bus stop and we've been friends ever since and that was at least a year ago. I have another friend who I've been friends with for at least 20 years, who I met on the bus going to work. She got the same bus as me but got on a couple of stops before, and although I've moved we're still in touch and we do FaceTime once a month.

No. It's not just you she's being friendly with, she's just doing her job & will be like it with all her husband's clients, you're their bread and butter that's all

On the whole, assuming that you’re a woman I would say no as you could both be embarrassed and she may think you’re gay and coming on to her.
If you’re a man then definitely don’t ask her.

If there is a time when you are having a break from sessions you could casually say how you will miss your chats. Leaving it open for her to suggest a meet up possibly.

If you bumped into her at a swimming pool or gym you could easily say let's have a coffee after a swim or a class.

Just take her as part of your day and move on. I meet some lovely people on the bus, in the shops, at the dentist. They are just that, part of my day. Anything else sounds weird!

I actually made friends with the receptionist at a PT office where I went twice a week for a couple months. When I was finished with PT, I said, hey maybe we could grab lunch sometime. She happily encouraged me to text her. We've had lunch a couple times. Other times, we've just texted. I'm a really outgoing person though. So maybe that's why I felt fine extending the invite. Plus, she's older and single so I figured she'd be happy for a new friend. Hope this helps

It doesn't sound weird Sikipoo - sometimes we meet people in random but regular situations with whom we just 'click' and think how nice it might be to have longer chats with them.

However, I think you should rely on your instinct - you feel awkward for a reason.

Just enjoy the banter when you go to your appointments.

If you ever "ran into her" in a shop or wherever, you could suggest going for coffee.

Continue to have chats with her for now but best to keep it professional.
