Me too I ordered two duvets last week, because there was no click and collect option I had to pay for them to be delivered. The next day I had an email to say they’re out of stock.
What a waste of my time. I’ve just looked today and there’s no alternative to order everything out of stock.
I really hope it can sort itself out soon. I buy quite a bit from there.
Also I’ve had no offers on my sparks card for 6 months now, asking around friends, and relatives have all had something.

I find that everything I try to order is out of stock, even things that are “new in”

I can’t comment on their online shopping as I’ve not used it recently. But I was in store yesterday with the intention of buying pyjamas for my daughter’s birthday. The cheaper end of the scale at £12-14 looked ok and what I would probably buy for myself . But I wanted a “nice” set for my daughter.

The few pairs on display £30+ were so disappointing. The tops were either flimsy little strappy things or cheap feeling sweatshirt style. I wouldn’t have paid £15 for them never mind £30-35.

I went next door to Next and their nightwear stock was superior in every way.

Goodness they seem to be coming thicker and faster than London buses.
FWIW I think their styling, quality and selection has been excellent for the last couple of years.
And this is reflected in their share prices and popularity in the market - so not just me.

Stylish not fuddy duddy, large selection of jeans, boots and shoes along with pretty underwear.

I've stopped shopping in M&S, whenever I've gone in hoping to find something new I've always come out disappointed with nothing. Even their lingerie, which I've bought lots of over the years, is nothing like it used to be. I asked an assistant where I could find a front fastening bra, she said they didn't have any and to look online!

Look on-line! That's what I got when I last went looking for something in M&S.

I don't do on-line shopping because I could see what was coming down the line a decade ago.

I agree with whoever said Next was better- so I'm shouting out for Next who will check if something you want is in stock if your size/colour isn't on the rail.

Also a bigger sgout out to charity shops- got a beautiful cashmere and wool Windsmoor winter coat a few weeks ago, beautiful silk lining looked like it had never been worn. £8! Win win ker-chiiiing!

GrannyGravy, BonMarche aims at that particular market but Bonmarche often fuddy duddy. Their Autonomy range seemed to have got the message right for a time.

M&S online are hopeless, never in the colour or size that I want, always out of stock, don’t they ever restock items online??

I can find loads to buy in M&S and have used click and collect twice recently with no problem.

I have to say I have used Next a lot recently especially for bedroom furniture and curtains.

I picked up two pairs of jeans last week, click and collect and have had no problem with choice or my size - 16 long.
I could order more, but I don’t need it it and do try to support our local charity shop if I have a whim to buy.

No one uses pedestal mats anymore - people generally find them rather disgusting! If M&S stocked them, they’d never sell them.

Mmmm, short, stout, don't wish to be fuddy duddy and a budget of slightly more than zero.

Quite a challenge.

I know M&S has had huge problems with online sales etc but OMG it is still not working well at all. Also the range of goods is not what I am used to but maybe I'm behind the times. The range in all areas seems bizarre. DGD age 8 needs new knickers - only 1 set and not what she would wear. We need a pedestal mat for bathroom - only 1 comes up and not rubber backed which it needs to be to prevent slipping. DD shops in Primark so perhaps I should just go there. Does anyone else find the quality has deteriorated and the website is not working well?

I bought my own DSD age 7 ( i got age 7 to 8 ) knickers ladt week...there was a choice of 30 multi packs on the M&S website so not sure where you looked?
As for pedestal bathmats....I'm guessing M&S have moved with the times....it must be the 80s since I last saw one of these ....they just wouldn't sell them if they stocked them

Only a medium sized M&S near me but their lingerie selection is appalling used to be quite nice with several of the Rosie items. Now seems unless you want to buy a bra in lurid colours that would show through many items of clothing and with really thick padding you may as well give up and look elsewhere.
Haven't wanted to try online since the internet problems but sounds from other posters that this could be a problem.

Yes, agree with everything you say. All rather shambolic. I recently ordered some clothes on line they all arrived separately. All very inconvenient as I had to stay in. The knickers I ordered were enormous in size and unfortunately I have not changed in size and I never ever return knickers even though they were in a pack of four.

I saw a rather mad M&S faux fur coat in the Times two weeks ago, ordered it immediately and it was here within 3 days. No charge for delivery. I thought that was pretty good service.
