Well I am an addict and proud of it! Love it all even the boring bits and now love Ambridge Extra.......I believe I am not alone either????

Gracesgran Sat 25-Apr-15 17:45:48

My thoughts too sara4.

Leticia Sat 25-Apr-15 18:08:35

I'm sure that he has forged it somehow!

merlotgran Sat 25-Apr-15 18:30:11

I hope he's forged it otherwise the whole storyline is pointless.

mollie65 Sat 25-Apr-15 18:55:58

so Rob is not the father - what a waste of a cliff hanger - how could he forge it?
I also remember him telling Jess in a hushed tel conversation that there was no hurry about the divorce - why?
is he not responsible for child even though he is not the father as he is still legally married to his wife hmm
gets more like the soap 'Soap' every week.

Leticia Sat 25-Apr-15 18:56:27

It doesn't make sense to have a lead up for months and then just lamely find he was right. There must be more to it.

Nelliemoser Sat 25-Apr-15 20:02:43

My thoughts as well about the "Rob is innocent" plot, why set the whole thing up as a script line? It could be that they want us all to think we have been misjudging poor Rob feeling sorry for him and then fling some other scenario our way.

I was very suprised at the results. He could possibly could have forged a letter. I assume such a letter would come direct from the lab who does the testing and that Dr Richard Locke would have sent it there himself, ( not via Rob.) Perhaps Rob has hidden the previous one but copied the heading and forged a new letter, but the problem with that is that Jess would have her copy anyway so he could not get out of it like that.

It might just be that Jess had slept with someone else.

Watch this space Archers fans. grin I do love this program

sara4 Sat 25-Apr-15 20:05:55

You can do 'creative' things with a photocopier and a bit of imagination.

Nelliemoser Sat 25-Apr-15 20:07:28

As for a forgery, a painter and decorator I was thinking of hiring had a very impressive and convincing copy of the logo of a trade association on his business card.
I checked his name to see if he was listed but he was not. Stupid man! If he had not tried to lie he might have had the job.

Soutra Wed 27-May-15 22:36:15

So what has happened to Stefan? Has Rob bumped him off and hidden his body in the culvert in question?
And why has Charlie become such a wuss?
And are Rex and Toby for real?
And <deep breath> if Pip gets this job, do we get rid of her?

littleflo Thu 28-May-15 21:26:29

Stefan, scruff and the bunting are in a make-shift hide-a-way. It is constructed from corrugated iron and all the other bits rescued from the culvert.

Every time Rob disappears, he goes to the Hide-away with food.. When things get too much he will live there with his pet dog, a man-servant and a tastefully decorated home. He may even kidnap Fallon, to up-cycle his bits.

I have been following TA far to closely, methinks.

Anne58 Thu 28-May-15 23:14:24

Was it only me that in the bit where they were in the car, really wanted to slap "Auntie Chris" and tell her to stop whittering and wimping?

Gracesgran Thu 28-May-15 23:47:59

I think they are trying to show the after effects of the flood phoenix. I do think some, particularly older people, would have been left very shaken. Now her house has been burgled - how should she feel? I agree it's irritating but very real to the story I think.

Soutra Thu 28-May-15 23:50:55

littleflo I am beginning to think they should have hired you as a scriptwriter. . . .
Or perhaps they have. . shock!!!

suzied Fri 29-May-15 06:19:00

They are obv setting up Pip with Toby and her big decision whether or not to take the job ( bet she doesn't and goes on to inherit Brookfield ). I get muddled up with Tom, Pip, Phoebe and the other younger characters they all sound the same. I think Kate is very funny though.

Anne58 Fri 29-May-15 10:49:09

You're right Graces , it does "fit" but still irritates!

suzied Kate a good slap and a kick up the chakras, IMO.

merlotgran Fri 29-May-15 11:00:33

It's getting very crowded at Home Farm. No wonder Ruairi was banging on the floor last night. He's probably locked in the airing cupboard because Lillian/Phoebe/Kate has nicked his bedroom.

Has Kate moved out yet? Did I miss that bit?

If the bunting was stolen just so they could invent a 'bunting sewing hen night' craze, it won't catch on. hmm

Gracesgran Fri 29-May-15 20:18:58

I think Kate will find less and less sympathy as the years go by Phoenix but she will never understand and get more and more whinny smile.

I think there are lots of craft nights in preparation for weddings melotgran so I think they are following a trend rather than setting it.

Just heard the episode re Scruff. I predict they will find him in six months, happily living with another family. How do you sort that out?

Iam64 Fri 29-May-15 20:35:56

Kate could become the next Lilian darling, and become an Ambridge Treasure. It seems unlikely though, she's been a real self centred pain in the wotsit since she was about 13. She and Phoebe are rather like Eddie and Saffie aren't they?!

Gracesgran Fri 29-May-15 21:00:07

Oooh no Iam64. Lillian has a lot more going for her and also managed to marry money twice, I seem to remember. I totally agree though Kate is a pain. I can't remember a character quite like her.

sara4 Sat 30-May-15 20:25:34

Where does Kate get her money from. Is she seriously studying or spending her time 'trying' to be young again. She must be a real
pain to the other students. She got mad when Roy reminded her she was 38. I too get mixed up with voices, I wish the characters would use each others' names, that might help.

merlotgran Mon 08-Jun-15 18:47:03

What was the outcome of the Rob/hunt sab assault?

Have I missed something?

Anne58 Mon 08-Jun-15 18:56:21

Joe Grundy always uses people's names, even in entirety, eg "Hello David Archer, what are you doing to that sheep?" and possibly It's alright for you Caroline Sterling, you haven't got ferrets to see to"

Anne58 Mon 08-Jun-15 18:58:02

PS And have you noticed that characters often refer to locations, too as in Jill saying something like "I'm just popping over to the sables to see Shula" or "I'll come over to Glebe Cottage to see you"

grumppa Tue 16-Jun-15 19:11:46

Am I alone in thinking that tonight's cast sound totally unimpressed with script they have been given? I can see their point!

Anne58 Tue 16-Jun-15 20:38:26

Chris, oh sorry "Auntie Christine" needs to buck up a bit, Jill (who always sound as if she has just been goosed) and of course the ever practical (unless she's been sorting out her will) Peggy (who with not a thought for Tony, who was probably damaged for life because he didn't receive the toy car that he had set his heart on way back when the world was black and white!)

*grumppa" I feel I must agree re tonight, however Kate has raised my "shouting at the radio" levels to those usually reserved for "John Grumphries" Will somebody please give her a kick up the chakras or force feed her with trifle?
