Well I am an addict and proud of it! Love it all even the boring bits and now love Ambridge Extra.......I believe I am not alone either????

I love that description of Jill, phoenix. grin

Iam64 Tue 16-Jun-15 20:57:41

I haven't heard tonight's episode but loved the thought of phoenix shouting at the radio response to the wonderful Kate. Her chakras certainly need a bit of a seeing to, don't they. I prescribe a week up here int'north, being regularly told to "shape up, think on, stop meandering, get on wee'it lass, "

I enjoy the dreadful Kate. She adds a bit of amusement to the place, better than whinging Christine.
Are Brian and Jennifeer funding Kates degree? I wonder when whatever funds she is using will run out.

Does anyone think Kate might get off with the younger Fairbrother lad? From hints dropped by his older brother he is a bit of a liability and has been in some scrapes.

Is Bert still at Brookfield? Jill seems to have forgotten to feed him.

Iam64 Wed 17-Jun-15 08:47:04

Kate's two previous romances have been with more stable characters than Fairbrother junior (Toby?) but she's clearly got the hots for him. She does bring a lot of humour doesn't she. When she was getting pregnant in a tipped at Glastonbury we often wondered if one of the writers knew more than we wanted them to about events within our own family - sadly, we don't have a swimming pool or a multi million pound farm

Kate is a breath of real life as she has no idea how awful she is. On another forum (lots of very right wing old men) I am always staggered by the people who do not understand just how awful they are - in that case total bigots.

I wonder if Kate and/or the youngest Fairbrother will get into such trouble that she will be thrown out only to return in x years time as a rich business person. She is so unaware of other people's needs and wants she could be very successful.

Can somebody put me right please, what relation to Grace Fairbrother (the late Phil Archer's first wife ) are Toby and Rex? And why is there so little reaction from Jill?

I dont remember much of this. The link seems very vague about what the secret behind this all was. I have had a thought now but I won't spoil it.

Oh no, Bert. I know you must be a bit hungry but you should steer clear of Carol's seed cake shock

Gracesgran Fri 03-Jul-15 00:06:29

He was very relaxed after his seed cake merlotgran. I shouldn't be surprised if Jill's doesn't compare smile.

Will there be a reference to Alice B. Toklas in this week's credits?

shysal Fri 03-Jul-15 17:17:16

I read that there is going to be a R4 drama 0n Sept 19th called 'Dead Girls Tell No Tales', which is all about Grace Archer and the fire. I don't think I was a listener at the time of the incident.

shysal Sun 19-Jul-15 11:35:00

Just listened to the Omnibus. 'Happy Families' at the Aldridges! Quite entertaining though, one disagreement after another. I thought Debbie was going to flirt with Charlie, that would have been interesting!

Anne58 Sun 19-Jul-15 11:47:45

I think she IS flirting with him! AND, she's staying a few extra days, and I don't think that the thought of winning the tombola at the fete is the reason! wink

Luckygirl Sun 19-Jul-15 12:31:59

She's in for a bit of a surprise!

merlotgran Mon 20-Jul-15 19:17:49

Two mentions of David's cut hand in as many days......Tetanus??

Iam64 Mon 20-Jul-15 20:39:38

I seem to recall that chArlie is bi sexual. Is he narcissistic eenough to flirt with Debbie at the same time as continuing his attempt to seduce Adam .

Anne58 Mon 20-Jul-15 20:56:34

Wouldn't surprise me Iam

Now Rob and Helen have tied the knot is Rob going to be revealed as a wrong 'un? Or will the slow buildup continue? Maybe after Peggy changes her will again in their favour?

NanKate Wed 05-Aug-15 07:12:19

I'm way behind in my knowledge of Debbie and her new husband. The last time I listened he was being accused of fathering another child with his ex wife. Is there anymore to this storyline?

Alea Wed 05-Aug-15 07:48:28

Rob is clearly fiddling the books and Peggy's cheque is going to go into paying it back I assume.
Charlie and Debbie? She'd have him for breakfast!
We had tetanus (Tony) some years back didn't we?
Has Pip been saved from the lecherous Toby's nefarious intentions then?
Watch this space

Iam64 Wed 05-Aug-15 08:56:07

I'm enjoying those two new young men Toby n Rex. I do hope Pip doesn't allow herself to be seduced by the charming gad about one.

Helen is even more irritating than Kate, at least with Kate I find myself laughing. I remember Peggy changing her will in Tony's favour, rather than Tom's. Did she do the same with Helen's share. Otherwise the awful Rob will get half when Helen comes to her senses and divorces him.

shysal Wed 05-Aug-15 08:58:51

I had not heard that the divorce was finalized. Is Rob now a bigamist?

chloe1984 Wed 05-Aug-15 09:21:01

I can see Rob becoming the squire of Ambridge and Helen becoming the new Jennifer. Am loving the storylines with the exception of Ruth and her Mother I find it all a bit sad .

Anne58 Wed 05-Aug-15 10:10:09

I'm worried about Henry's eyesight. It took him ages to find that football when he and Tony were playing the other day! Jennifer darling was explaining about Johhny's birthday card and several times Tony interrupted to say "behind the tree Henry!" or "no, the other way"
