Archers Addict

It's Jazzer that really annoys me. I don't think he's real. DH can't stand Lynda Snell.

(I just voted for Lilian not to pull out of her holiday with Matt - sad or what!)

What I did enjoy a few years back was the Archers web forum. There were some really funny people on it. Brawn ( Brian Aldridge) came in for a lot of jokes.
I still hear it sometimes after the 1 pm news and PIP is really awful.

Always listened to the Archers as a child and then on and off over the years. Haven't listened now for a long time, mainly because I don't listen to any radio much. My favourites were the Grundys because I knew so many people like them when we lived in Cornwall - people who put pink diesel in their cars and fixed everything with binder twine. We didn't have much in the way of gentleman farmers in our little backwater.

J0! Jazzer just seems a bit unlikely - perhaps he has hidden depths.

Help please from any addicts who are up to date with the plot.

Now I wonder if I m missing something here. Rob and Helen's confidant Kirsty, are playing being Beatrice and Benedict in Lynda Snells Christmas spectacular.

They were rehearsing today and were being chivied by Lynda for behaving in a very wooden manner with each other.

I know Kirsty knows all about the affair and that is why she is being decidedly cool towards Rob but why does Rob seem to be so off with Kirsty?

Has anyone found out if Rob knows that Kirsty knows?

The suspense is almost keeping me awake at night. yawn.

You are probably right NFK but then why was he stupid enough to take the part, he could easily have claimed pressure of work. Is that poor scriptwriting?

Had he agreed before Thingame (his wife's father) and he went back to Whatshername?

I was quite surprised when it all went pearshaped with him & Helen! I thought the script writers would have decided it was about time that Helen had a bit of luck in the man department, and I was looking forward to the fall out when Pat and Tony found out, bit of spontaneous combustion over a batch of Borsetshire Blue

But alas, it was not to be. Still, it looks as though Helen is on the brink of losing the plot/doing something ill advised etc.

Am I alone in feeling nauseous at all the yucky schmucky noises off during the recent (highly unlikely) love affairs between Helen and Rob, and Lilian and Matt's brother wotsname?

Nellie it's Robin Hood and Maid Marion, not Benedict and Beatrice, that was last year with Reece (sp?) and Fallon!

Fantoosh there haven't been any yucky noises for weeks!

Helen has always been a whinger but even she should have a bit of happiness.

I wonder what she is going to do. Melt down in view!

She got pretty drunk earlier on a night out with Tom, Kirsty and Patrick.

Helen is going to meet Rob and scratch his eyes out. To save the panto she will play his part as a traditional principal boy. Her duets with Kirsty will arouse strange passions in both of them, and in a fit of jealous rage Tom will murder his sister. Linda will rewrite the panto as a Jacobean tragedy.

And Mrs. Grumppa predicts that Brian Aldridge will have an affair with Rob's wife.

Psst! I have it on good authority that the ghosts of Walter Gabriel and Jack Woolley are waiting to welcome Mr Joe Grundy to a higher place soon where they will form a new 'old boy band' in order to serenade Linda Snell at every possible opportunity.

So what about Helen and Rob the! Does anyone think he has told Jess his wife about Helen?.When this gets out everyone is going to blame Helen for breaking up this marriage. Scenarios please. I wonder if any of the script team are on GN? _

Well, I thought the Helen & Rob thing would have to happen again, if only to provoke spontaneous combustion/righteous indignation from Pat & Tony!

Nellie I have a sneaking suspicion that Rob was fibbing when he told Helen that he had told Jess!

But surely, the writers will have a happy ending planned for Helen? There are only so many times that the girl can be unlucky in love before it starts to look daft.

papaoscar they already have Phil up there to play the piano or organ for them.

I didn't really believe him either phoenix. Its going to very difficult for them when they "come out" as a couple.

Do any other regular listeners think that Tony sounded like a different actor in tonight's episode? He didn't do that odd noise every time he was about to say something!
