I'm looking forward to the episode when only the silent characters take part. A very quiet voice would just announce who they were...then we could invent our own story lines to fit the silences. Sound effects, animal and human noises, such as panting and moaning, would be permitted.

The Listener (deceased, unfortunately) used to have a very funny cartoon strip about the silent Archers. Ken Ton was silent then and in Hong Kong so they pretended he was Chinese.

Great ideas appearing on the Archers FB page as to what might happen to Helen while out hunting but no one has yet suggested that Jess might cut the girth or something similar. I am not at all sure about Jess, just even less sure about Rob.

Someone also asked what had happened to Cathy (Perks). What did happen to Cathy, she hasn't been in a story for ages?

Cathy Perks? I heard that she underwent a transgender procedure, is now known as Sidney and happily installed as a Beefeater at the Tower of London.

As a true Archers addict I love the idea that there is a thread on here for those of us mad enough to have stuck with it for all these years but shouldn't there be a thread for Corrie followers too. It seems only fair that they have their own

Chloe could be right - it could be the twist in the tale - Rob may be really a nice misunderstood guy all along!
