Yes - my DD had a private midwife and it was an excellent investment. There is going to be a dearth of them around once they have to insure as the cost will be prohibitive.

When my daughter got pregnant I found her an Independent midwife. This month legislation will be enacted meaning IM's have to have insurance. Neighbourhood Midwives have this I have discovered. I thought other G'parents might like to know.
