I was just listening to the Graham Norton radio programme this morning and he was interviewing a woman who I think must be the producer of Happy Valley among others progs (I only switched on after she'd been introduced). Anyway, Graham asked her about the complaints about its being hard to hear at times. Her response? Its not them. All of us need to retune our TVs! I was so irritated. I wanted Graham to ask how it was that the Great British Public could somehow make out what was being said on every other programme! She even said she was quite cross about being asked about this so often! Graham was too nice to her about it.
