The drama not the Islands ? Don't tell me they've replaced it with football? I have looked forward to this all week yes I know I have a dull life.

Flipping football...angry

merlotgran Fri 29-Jan-16 17:25:35

And I've caught up with all the programmes I recorded.

Gah!!

Luckygirl Fri 29-Jan-16 17:25:39

Football! - oh no I was looking forward to Shetland. sad

Jalima Fri 29-Jan-16 17:31:34

Surely not! angry

I was looking forward to it, and I'll have forgotten what happened in the first two episodes by next week hmm

tinaf1 Fri 29-Jan-16 17:32:13

Yep football angry

tinaf1 Fri 29-Jan-16 17:35:18

Merlotgran that wasn't the F word that I used when I found out grin

Jalima Fri 29-Jan-16 17:35:28

Just told DH and he laughed!
He can get his own dinner

Stansgran looks like they have replaced it with FA cup football tonight I hope it will be back next week,,,

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 29-Jan-16 17:39:09

It is back next week. Blame BT and Sky for making premier league football too expensive for the BBC. It can only afford the FA Cup.

nigglynellie Fri 29-Jan-16 17:41:39

Nothing stands in the way of sport particularly football! grrrrrrrr!

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 29-Jan-16 17:46:15

I don't remember hearing an announcement after last week's show though. That's the third time recently a programme I've been watching was changed and the other two definitely didn't have announcements because there was uproar!

Jalima Fri 29-Jan-16 18:00:04

Why can't they put the flippin' football on another channel?

ninathenana Fri 29-Jan-16 18:10:44

Spitting feathers !!!

tinaf1 Fri 29-Jan-16 18:10:48

They did say end of last weeks program that it would be back in two weeks time WimerK wonder what would happen if programme makers announced "we are cancelling tonight's match due to viewers fed up with football" grin

kittylester Fri 29-Jan-16 18:11:00

It was Gertrude!!

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 29-Jan-16 18:13:46

Bloody football. hmm

Nelliemoser Fri 29-Jan-16 18:13:53

Given Gertrude's 100mph winds perhaps its been blown off to Norway. wink

Alea Fri 29-Jan-16 18:18:05

Bloody ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ from me too ?

nigglynellie Fri 29-Jan-16 18:21:53

Would make a change tinf1!! Think of it, football having to give way to regular TV!! sacrilege I guess!! We both hate football, and resent giving way ALL the time!

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 29-Jan-16 18:25:56

tinaf1 shows how much attention I pay! grin

tinaf1 Fri 29-Jan-16 19:05:06

Wilma perhaps because she said it in her " I am going to say this really quickly and quietly so no one phones in and complains voice" grin

chelseababy Fri 29-Jan-16 21:06:29

Am I the only gransnetter who likes football? (I like Shetland too!)

Ana Fri 29-Jan-16 21:09:06

They have to pay for it, it's live and they want to up their viewer ratings, that's why they won't put it on one of the other BBC channels.

Charleygirl Fri 29-Jan-16 21:11:52

With my memory I will not have a clue as to what has been shown previously. I also get fed up with football always being given first place- are they paid money by the sponsors to show it?
