Walking in the Himalayas

The programme he did before, which was walking the length of the Nile, was just as interedting. DH said he'd really like to do that, but I've told him he's on his own.

I have really enjoyed the series so far. He was so lucky to survive the car crash that was shown last week. The people that he met in Nepal in this week's programme all seemed to be so open and friendly even though their lives can be hard.

Having watched WTH I watched the whole of Walking the Nile on catchup. He reminds me of Benedict Allen who made similar programmes a few years ago. Really gets 'under the skin' of the places he travels through. Makes you realise how hard people have it in other countries and yet how kind and generous they are to strangers.

I am loving this series roses and will be sad when it finishes. How lovely that he struck up a lifelong friendship with the Nepalese man and his fm family who took him in ( to escape the violence) many years ago. Heartwarming . I agree about the men risking their lives for the honey that we as consumers take for granted . Quite humbling. For me this is TV at its best.

Yes, I must see more on catch up.Will try to find the Nile ones as well.He is an excellent and low key presenter.

This is a great programme, I love it. It's so down to earth and natural,
no frills or additives, just the amazing countryside and the way of life of the people who live there.

Yes a lovely programme. My son cycled in the Nepal and the foothills, just before a coup there. I loved listening to his experiences. He described what poverty there is and how the people make use of everything even stuff we throw away like Coke cans etc.

Levison Wood has become a hearthrob, I can understand why!

I really like him after watching the Walking the Nile series. Very sad when the man died due to the heat. (thought we did a thread, maybe it was the Sue Perkins series of a similar vein)

He is very hansome and I honestly perceive he has a kind, genuine character and I like his style of presentation. I hope he does get another series as both the Nile and the Himalayas are excellent.

Sorry to go off OP but I am finding the running series on the Barrier Reef with David Attenborough a tad boring, am I alone?

No you're not alone POGS I attempted to watch it the other evening and I thought I had seen it before. I think DA has had his day as a presenter. Boring, boring, boring.
