Logging Off difficulties

I have recently started to use my IPad to watch catch up and live tv, however I find that whenever I get onto sites such as ITV Player there is no place to log off, no cross to click on. The only way I can do it is to close the whole IPad down.

I have tried touching all the icons but just get new screens to look at.

Perhaps I should have put this query on Techy stuff, but have started here in hope of an answer.

No answer I'm afraid NanKate but I sympathise. I have had my IPad for 7 months and fail every time I use it. I can't even get my touch on the screen to work half the time! I am very computer literate but this device defeats me. What is so frustrating is that my 3 and 6 year old grand daughters seem to find what they want instantly.

I have tried online help and what they say will happen doesn't so I get mad and give up! I think we need to go on a course - but are there any?

Thanks Grandma for your thoughts. I too find that my two GSs 2+ and 4+ plus are unfazed when it comes to using my IPad. The eldest looked up Youtube and found a Mickey Mouse cartoon, I was astonished.

With regard to the IPad itself I would encourage you to keep trying to master it as I find now that it is one of the most used appliances in the house.

Could one of your friends help you master the IPad do you think ?

Try clicking the home button a couple of times and you should see all the open apps on the screen. Swipe each one upwards and it will disappear as it is shut. Swipe to the right until they have all gone. Hope this helps.

Thanks I will try that Ceesnan.
