Photos help MacBook pro

I'm having problems saving photos to my Mac. I've inserted the SD card and I can see all the photos in finder. But I can't save them in photos. Photos does not give me the option to import the photos. I feel so stupid. The SD card is still plugged in to the Mac. Please help!

I'm afraid I wouldn't have known either as I don't have a Mac, but glad you got it sorted.

Glad it's sorted, glad I read the responses as I was just going to pass this Q to OH as that's what I do when the Mac won't do what I think it should.

Thank goodness for kids who understand technology grin oh and GC too.

With my setup (not a Mac) a message comes up when you insert the memory card or connect the phone to the pc asking if you want to open the folder, import the photos or just view them as far as I remember.

Well I'm sorry I bought the Mac, I find it complicated to use.
Brain not as sharp as it used to be, sadly ?
