No email. But got this in my "threads I'm on" list:
When posters ask for advice..... Thread deleted This thread was pulled because we don't think disagreements in PMs should transgress into the forums. It doesn't resolve the situation, and in most instances, makes things a lot worse. If you have an issue with a PM/poster then please do report it to us.;
Yes I am sorry the thread was pulled, because it obtained useful advice about giving advice and listening to people. Like you merlot I object to my words being censored for no good reason.
I said before, on the deleted thread, that I think there is too much pm-ing going on and a lot of the time I get completely lost about who said what to whom. It seems that most trouble is caused by pms rather than open disagreements. I thought this was a forum!
Nonu, I abhor the secrecy, it smacks of bullying and tittle tattling!
I wondered that too. So many of us have said we have never reported anything, or only reported sales posts. Probably going to get another lot of 'not mes' now.
I don't like the pm system and would never use it to criticise anyone as I hate to be criticised myself. I have used it to "chat" with a few people I have common interests with that would not be interesting to others and I occasionally pm a poster we haven't heard from for a while just to check they are OK. I certainly wouldn't report anyone. I would rather leave if something really upset me. But that's just me.
