Oh my God! Is it New Year's Eve tonight?! 
It is tomorrow, but never mind, and a Happy New Year from me also to everyone on Gnet
We had planned to go to New Year party in village hall. However, DH has had a stinker of a cold for nearly a fortnight and so not a good idea to spread it around amongst so many people tonight. I don't think he really wanted to go, though, and when I suggested last night that we just stayed at home, he brightened considerably and his breathing became much less 'laboured'. This morning he said, "You were looking forward to the party, though, and you bought a new dress...." I replied, "How are you feeling this morning?". His answer was a cough and a bit more 'laboured' breathing.....
I don't think he wants to go.

Mine hates social gatherings and it's really odd how often the mention of such triggers an illness 
I just smile sweetly and say that I'm going anyway, which frequently leads to a rapid recovery on his part!
Especially if you bought a new dress!

We will watch Jools Holland and raise a glass at midnight then be in bed by 12.30am 
New Years day I always have cook a roast dinner and we use up the crackers.
DH has trudged into the living room, sniffing wetly.....and said, "We'll just go to the party....?" I agreed straight away (obviously much to his dismay) SO we're GOING!!
