It’s a bit irritating, but I suppose whatever works to encourage more people to be vaccinated, is to be embraced.

'Double jabber' ought literally to mean the one who gives the jabs, surely? This has been invented by newspaper subeditors.

Tbh I have adopted the “double vaxxed” description and quite like it. Jab (or the North-of-the-Border jag) is also less fussy to say than vaccination or inoculation. It’s a new vocabulary for our new pandemic age. Double jabber sounds like the person administering the jab twice, so should be jabee, surely? Or double jabbed at least. Nothing wrong with new words.

Really can’t get my knickers* in a twist over nothing much at all. As long as I know what they mean. I accept that we are all different and had very different educational experiences.

I would hate to make others feel awkward or shamed into not posting because of pedantics.

I often wonder if the pedants are trying to cover up low self esteem by nitpicking at those they consider to be inferior?
