Remember what he said in his resignation speech:
… a chance to stick two fingers up to the entire establishment …
Having re-sworn his allegiance the King - the embodiment of the establishment - he deliberately flouted the rule about where filming may take place on the Parliamentary Estate. He will have been perfectly aware of this as all MPs are. Moreover, he will know that Lee Anderson has been censured for this in the past.
It was a publicity stunt, nothing more. The narcissist, who must be the centre of attention at all times, cannot bear that Andy Burnham has the spotlight this week.
Why is Reform holding it’s conference this week, the week when Parliament returns after the summer recess? The House of Commons rises again on 15 September 2026 and does not return until 12 October 2026 specifically so that political parties can hold their annual conferences in that period. But Reform ? Of course not. They have to be seen to be flouting convention. What was it they called themselves back in summer 2024? Foxes in the henhouse. It’s all part of the performance. Most sensible people can see through it.
They are like the boys driving you mad repeatedly kicking a football again a wall or garage door. The more you ask them to stop they more they do it. It’s best to ignore them. They are soon bored.
Farage has been behaving this way since he was a schoolboy and getting away with it. He’s even more insufferable now he has an entourage of sycophants applauding his every action, but I think he’s also tired and bored. He and Reform are out of ideas - not that they ever had many. They desperately need the small boats to keep coming. Their careers depend on it. He will continue to travel around the country with his tent shows, trotting out the same tedious patter he’s been doing for years. If people pay to watch it, more fool them. In another time, he would have been a tacky comedian on the northern club circuit telling tired jokes about wives and mothers-in-law.
Meantime, his beard or flying monkey, the unelected Zia Yusuf is busy posting the things that Farage dare not. His tweet about Camden Council’s leader Sagal Abdi-Wali is disgusting,
