There is a product called Spidex it’s in aerosol and it works.

Does it kill them or deter them ? I don’t mind spiders .

I bought spider spray from Aldi ,I spray the whole house, also put peppermint oil on a cloth and wipe it over window sills and skirting boards,,I hate spiders,and they're getting bigger..

Spiderex deters I couldn’t kill a spider.

I leave them alone as their webs catch flies and mosquitoes.

Used to get this for my mum as she was frightened of them, and after she was widowed it was easier for her to have this, than call me to sort out a spider

They frighten me, I wouldn't go near enough to them to kill them

Most spiders are harmless - not useful information if you have spider-phobia, I know. We have a few regular visitors to our house and I can live with them as long as they don't fall on my face from the celing durig the night! They keep the fly population down indoors - a plus in my opinion.

On the other hand, I hate cobwebs, they make me shudder. Sticky dirty things. When I had to explain to my DGD that cobwebs were not the same as spiders' webs (when I was dusting them into oblivion) her reply was, "What's a Cob?"

As far as spiders are concerned, I just want a deterrent, not to harm them.

I bought a spider catcher online. You point it at the spider, turn it on and it sucks it unharmed up the long see through tube. You can then take the end off outside and let it go. Works with butterflies bees and flies and doesn’t harm them. It is an absolute godsend as I have a lot of spiders .

Yes, I want a deterrent. I do not want to kill them.
I did buy a spider spray a few years ago and sprayed it up under the outside of my French doors and a load of spiders came down but then I read somewhere that this was really cruel It really really hurt them so I would never use it again…
I am a bit scared of them. It’s the way they move in any direction at great speed,if they plodded along I’m sure they wouldn’t be such a worry to me…
I am very shortsighted and before I had my cataract done, I would not have seen a spider unless it was perched on the end of my nose once I took my glasses off so swings and roundabouts 😁
A few years ago, I pulled back my duvet to get into bed and a blinking great spider went galloping up the bed and disappeared down the back of the headboard,couldn’t do much about it so I slept but not very soundly 🥹

Spiders are pretty good at pest control so I try to leave them in peace. I can understand that it's not possible if one doesn't like spiders though. If one needs to be removed, it's a beaker, piece of paper and at trip to the front garden.

oh the speed they go at, they could outrun me any time' and when you see one on the wall with it's big black legs stretched out....
