As I was so pleased with my purchase I bought some more in a different style

I’ve recently bought a couple, made to measure, from eBay. Very well made, lovely quality fabric and about £6.00 each. The only downside was that I had to wait for them to come feom China, but that was fine with me!

Ikea has plenty of cushion covers different sizes, nice quality , good prices. Lots of designs and colours.

I don't like the hard cushion pads and prefer my old ones. I take the pad out and let the shop dispose of it.

I've had covers from several of the above places - but have just bought some new cushions to match curtains and now have a bag full of the pads most of which need to be thrown away.

Thanks all, plenty to go on there. But it is a pity that there are so many unwanted cushion pads around - thinking environmentally now.

People who make soft toys will snap them off your hands.
The filling is perfect for stuffing the toy.
Lots of knitting groups knit for charity.
The Big C cancer charity sells knitted breasts, made by volunteers, always looking for pink wool and stuffing.
Lots of other groups too.

HomeorAway - try Amazon or Ebay first. I got new covers for our summer house. I didn't realise at the time they were coming from CHINA however they took round 3 weeks but they were absolutely lovely, good quality too AND they were only £1.99 could not believe they were so nice. Good Luck.

Dunelm has been my place to go when I need new covers they have all types of material and sizes and the prices are good.
Those who have spare pads & cushions don't throw them awway pass them to an animal charity who can use them as bedding for cats or small dogs.

I make most of my own cushion covers and the pads when the cushions are not a standard size. Takes about 10 minutes, an old sheet or fabric remnant, and some polyester filling from a craft shop to make a cushion pad.

I just wish new sofas did not automatically come with scatter cushions. Our new sofa came with 2 superfluous cushions - and I still have the two from the last sofa, plus others. I have just dismantled 4 cushions with the newly washed covers going to a charity shop and the elderly rather grubby pads going in the bin.

Gmelon So glad you posted this information as the stuffing for toys etc can be expensive. I knit a lot for charities and I do find the cost of the filling a bit off putting. Always grateful if someone offers their new cushion pad.
