I am in A & E waiting to see a doctor. I have been here for a couple of hours now. My husband is with me. Can I please have a hand hold from my Gransnet friends?

Thinking of you fancyflowers. I hope your wait won’t be too long and that the doctor is reassuring.

I hope you have been triaged?

Chin up.
The good news is they haven't rushed you off as a dire emergency!

...obviously it is an emergency or you wouldn't be there.

I hope it's not as bad as you feared.

Sorry, fancyflowers. Know from much experience that A&E is an absolute gunfight. No idea how the staff cope with the pressure.
FWIW, though, once you’re finally triaged, you’ll get the care you need. All the best.

I expect a gunfight is well placed in A&E Basgetti

My nephew took his mum to A&E after she had a fall. He said there were 3 people handcuffed to prison officers or police officers, and then a knife fight started.

My lovely Sil (the nearest person to a sister i have ever had) is the gentles person ever, has dementia and was there for 11 hours.

I'll copy GrannyGravy13 and send (((YOU))) a hug and positive vibes. Same for (((Your Husband))) who must be worried too.
Try not to despair.
