Happy Birthday Broon!

A bit grey here in Norfolk, but brightening. We're off to Sandringham ( caravan park!) today with the caravan to do a bit of birding along the coast. First trip out this season so we're having to think a bit about all the stuff which will now stay inside her for the summer. I know I'll enjoy it when we get there but ..... Am I getting old?

Morning, folks! Boiler trouble on the Boggy Brae yesterday so I'll be contacting the boiler man today. It's just as well we have a solid fuel stove. Depending on the weather and my energy levels I intend to do some monster fuchsia bashing this afternoon or to make some paper pots and sow some seeds.

No school run for us this week - DD has finished her job and until she gets another we will be redundant . I have laundry and a pile of ironing to keep me busy this morning. "OH! what a beautiful morning" yes it is, good morning to you all from a sparkling south east coast, and what a difference it makes, doesn't it? Have no idea what to do today, the washing is on and there is ironing to do, but the weather beckons so might be a trip to look at the sea or the bowls club to catch up with friends. Good morning everyone.
High grey cloud cover over the Tyne Valley this morning. The sun is trying to break through.
DH and I had a day trip to Glasgow yesterday to visit DD and DGC. We all went to the Allergy food show at the SECC. DD went home with lots of free samples. DGS1 had a massive meltdown, we lost him for quite a while, and when we found him, he was minus his shoes. Fortunately someone handed them in, so he didn't have to walk home in stockinged feet.
Conservatory cleaning is on the agenda today. I'd better get started.

Our next door neighbour has an acacia in full bloom rin. He's from Africa so I suspect it reminds him of home, although probably a different species.

Glorious day, so will get out into the garden. Just finished polishing the windows and washing the nets. Will hang out the sheets when they are ready and then house finished with.

Today I plan to start off a couple of dahlia tubers, pot up the plug plants for the summer pots and tidy the greenhouse and if I have time plant a couple of clematis.

Easy dinner today of fish cakes and salad.
