This is a longshot but I'm absolutely stuck on this. Usually I rattle through them in 20 mins or so. Has anyone done it and could you help by giving me the 17 and 21 letters please. I have yet to finalise a single letter.

Hi I do the I paper codeword and crossword but must confess to cheating at times ! There is online a website called codeword solver which will help find letters if you are really stuck.

If this is the week-end I newspaper, the 17 letter is A and 21 is R.

Yep, A and R respectively. Just done it, and it worked for me.
