Form filling on line

I have been applying to renew my driving licence now that I'm approaching 70. I have been sent a paper form but told it's quicker and easier to do online. Like heck!
I have about lost the will to live. I'm told my address doesn't exist, my driver number is incorrect, and finally I'm told to call the helpline once it reopens tomorrow. Does anyone else have trouble with the online world?
