Yes! Recipes are unbalanced now. Say a cake used to use a 250grm pack of butter, now the butter is in 200grm packs so either have to buy another pack or get out the calculator.

Butter, some brands are now 200g rather than 250g.
Packs of biscuits - smaller bars packed into air filled wrappers.

Price goes up, quantity comes down.

I nearly bought what appeared to be good price for a pack of butter until I realised it was 200g and not the 250g of the
waitrose own brand. I need my glasses on all the time while shopping now....or shoppin as Beth Rigby on ITV political news would say. Grrr

Tins of tuna, now 3 in a pack not 4 And smaller size.
Toothpaste tubes appear smaller although I haven’t compared size.

Coffeemate- was 450 gms, the ‘new’ size is a lot smaller, 340gms maybe? (I stocked up when I saw the new size at Tescos, but the discount shop still had the old sizes).

Any toilet rolls, all fewer sheets.

Tesco unsalted block butter is still 250 gms though.

I'm sort of used to it in all the usual things now but was really shocked at the size of a Sainsbury's frozen roulade the other day. I had been hoping there would be left overs.

Muller corner yoghurts ….. used to get 6 in a pack, now 4. Disgraceful.

Radox shower gel has decreased in size by 30 mls. I noticed it appeared smaller but thought at first it was because they no longer have a hanging hook incorporated into the lid. Presumably to reduce the plastic content. Then I compared it to old stock and realised it had shrunk. Needless to say the price hasn’t shrunk.

I thought I would try Andrex toilet paper but the sheets were tiny! However, it seems toilet sheets in general are shrinking in size and thickness. Just wondering how thin and small they will go. Soon we will be forced to use kitchen roll but that's not allowed down the pan.

Just keep the bl***y toilet sheets a decent size!

I used to buy own brand (mean, moi?) quilted loo paper and the quality had deteriorated so much I was in danger of being one Callistemon. 🤣. However, last shop I bought Cushelle without a cardboard tube - the rolls are huge compared with what the own brand from two supermarkets had shrunk to - and much thicker and softer too. Makes a nice change to find something better - the size of a pack of butter is miserable now.

It's false economy.

Kerrygold butter is still 250g (£2 in Waitrose this morning where Yeo Valley was £2 for 200g).

Everything! I get so annoyed when I’m doing my online shopping because it keeps saying “ this item is no longer available’ no because you’re putting the size of it down again! Few weeks later I look it up again and lo and behold it’s gone down 10grams or more but still same price or even gone up 10p! I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t buy a pack of four pork loin chops for a couple of weeks, then the penny dropped, put into search and there they were gone down from 540g to 500g but still the same price! An increase of 67p a kilo! Feels a bit like being burgled by stealth! So pension has to stretch a bit further.

Tesco chocolate peanuts are in tiny bags now , i unfortunately cant eat chocolate due to it giving me migraine, but my DH said he doesnt feel as guilty eating the entire bag now 😁

My daughter buys Aldis own toilet paper and it seems better quality than Andrew when I’ve used it at her house. Granddaughter now complains about ours!

If they kept the sizes the same but put the price up due to increased overheads we’d still moan wouldn’t we? Personally I prefer the price to stay the same but the size to be reduced if need be.

The problem is that it will never go back to what it was. Once they get away with it they won't increase the size or thickness of anything in the future.

Talking of toilet paper, I'm having problems with Waitrose own brand quilted which is fairly okay in size and thickness but will not tear on the perforations, so you end up with half torn sheets. It's driving me nuts and I'm not buying them again. Surely it's not too difficult to get the perforations to tear?

The cardboard rolls in toilet rolls are larger and the squares are smaller.infuriates me.

Here there has been so much of this, but I notice the bacon especially. 375 grams now.

Thank goodness there are still 12 eggs in a dozen!

Trouble is GSM, that often, not only has the product decreased in size but the price has increased.
